    The Canadian Independent School District Board of Education met in special session on October 23, 2009 at the Cattle Exchange Restaurant to discuss legislative issues with other school district representatives and officials. Those present included board members and superintendents from Canadian ISD, Fort Elliott CISD, and Miami ISD as well as state representatives and a newspaper editor.     The Canadian Independent School District Board of Education met in special session on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 12:30 a.m. at the Cattle Exchange Restaurant at 2nd and Main Street, Canadian, Texas. Those present were: Mitch Ashley, John C. Isaacs, Allen Hadaway, Salem Abraham, Ken King, Superintendent, Frank Belcher, Superintendent of Fort Elliott CISD, Roy Baker, Fort Elliott Board Member, Bret Begert, Superintendent of Miami ISD, Donna Gill, Representatives Rob Eissler and Scott Hochberg and Canadian Record Editor, Laurie Brown.

    REPORTS/DISCUSSION ITEMS The group discussed legislative issues. The next regular CISD board meeting will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.
