Einsteins famous equation relates energy and mass with the square of the speed of light, where E = mc2. What is the percentage uncertainty and the absolute uncertainty of the energy for a mass m = (0.030 0.001) kg where the speed of light is c = 3.00 x 108 m s-1? 4. A student measures the mass m of a ball as 0.850 kg. The percentage uncertainty in the measurement of the mass is 5%. The student drops the ball from a height h of 100.0 m. The percentage uncertainty in the measurement of the height is 7%. What will be the gravitational potential energy of the ball? [ Ep = mgh, where g = 9.80 m s-2 ] 5. The electrical power dissipation P in a resistor of resistance R when a current I is owing through it is given by the expression P = I2R.
