Electrician

A variety of inspection tasks may be performed as required. Assignments are received in the form of oral or written instructions, sketches or blueprints, although work may result from inspection or troubleshooting. Work is ordinarily performed independently subject to inspection in process or upon completion.

 Plumber

This is skilled plumbing work in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbingsystems, other piping and related equipment. Work is performed in various locations in property under University cognizance. Work involves performing skilled plumbing tasks in installing, repairing, maintaining and servicing plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment. Work involves performing varied tasks involving other trade skills. Assignments are received in the form of oral or written instructions, sketches or blueprints although work may result from inspection and troubleshooting. Work is performed independently, subject to inspection in process and upon completion.

Automotive Mechanic

Under general supervision, performs skilled work at the full performance level by repairing and maintaining motor vehicles and other equipment for a state agency or facility. Has latitude to vary methods of repair, maintenance, parts selection, and diagnostic techniques. Orders or purchases parts, performs state vehicle inspections, operates diagnostic equipment where available, and road tests vehicles. Performs related work as required.

Air Conditioner Technician

This is skilled journeyman level work in the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of refrigeration, central and small individual air conditioning units. Work involves the application of trade skills in installing, repairing, maintaining and servicing refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and related equipment. Work of this class is assigned by a supervisor and considerable independence

is exercised on assignments, requiring good judgment in determining the extent of repair and work procedures. Supervision may be exercised over one or more helpers on major repair and installation projects. Work is reviewed through observation, conferences, conversation and the evaluation of results achieved.
