Alternative Dai Ko Myo To The Tradional European Symbol

There are 2 very different variants of the master symbol in

circulation. In the USA and in Australia the following master
symbol is most common. The symbol was spread about by
Diane Stein within the USA:

It is drawn as follows: First the lower spiral from the outside

inward, then the long momentum ascending, then the small
left line downward, followed of the small horizontal line from
right to links.

In Europe the following Master symbol version is common,

also called Dia Ko Myo:

It like that explained that the alternative Dai Ko Myo is the

actual master symbol, its name is "large bright light". Kanji
version is the Japanese translation of "large bright light" =
"Dai Ko myo" in Japanese kanji writing.

Since both symbols are Dai Ko Myo work independently it

doesn’t matter which you chose to use within the attunement.

It is a fact also that no matter how you draw the symbol or

even states the name it has the same effect. It is like if one
draws a bird, or writes bird, in can still be understood to be the
same. With the Dai Ko Myo is it the same, even if the majority
of the teachers write the opposite way.

Initiation into the US Master Symbol is used traditionally

in the 3rd Degree Reiki upwards, used in Master or
teacher degree’s. The Master symbol enables the
energy to be transfered to a student.

THE ATTUNEMENT RITUAL

The pupil sits down on a chair. (with several pupils these can sit next
to each other. The Grand Masters does not place themselves behind
the student at this stage but gives the initiates time to meditate and
become relaxed. Once this happens the Grand Master puts both the
palms of his hands on the initiates head. (The attunements are done
individually, so if there is more than one student, the master will walk
to the next student and follow the same procedure, as described in the
next section.

ATTUNEMENT PROCEDURE TO THE US

MASTER SYMBOL
The Grand Master speaks a thanks giving prayer, visualizes a white
bright light, which flows from above the Crown chakra and draws
with his palm of hand or visualizes the following Symbols:(W) - 4 - 1
- US Master Symbol – (W) (this is: (wisdom symbol) - Dai Ko Mio -
Cho Ku Rei - US Master Symbol, followed by the wisdom symbol
again). Please see below for further details why the wisdom symbol
has been drawn again.

During the attunement into the US symbol the attunements allow the
symbol to be made available to the students higher consciousness, or
higher self, and the wisdom symbol is given for the second time
which strengthens the Master symbol when it is being activated,
making the attunement more powerful.

Therefore the wisdom symbol (W), 4, 1, US-Symbol and a (W) is

carried out since it strengthens whole attunement because it
strengthens the activation of the US Maser symbol. After the
attunement is complete and the student receives the US symbol which
is made available with in their aura making them a powerful Reiki
channel.
