Where did American Football began?

American Football originated from the United States of American (USA) hence where the name American Football came from.

History American football started at around the first half of the 19th century and was based upon the early versions of rugby football. American football is mostly known because of the line of scrimmage, the downs (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th down) and the snap from the centre to the quarterback; these rules were added and contributed by Walter Camp. Walter Camp is considered as the father of American football, as he is the one that added the most well known rules and things about American football. The forward pass rule was introduced and made legal at around 19051906. The rules and point system were not all stable and locked on right from the start. As time goes by, even more rules or point systems are added, changed or modified, even still now.

Cultural Influence American Football is a big part of the American life. Everyone in America wouldve at least played this game at least once, either when they were still young or on weekends with some mates. American Football is basically considered the most popular sport in the United States, the spirit and passion that the Americans put into this sport is really huge, wether its on NFL games or college football. Think about the Superbowl, attracting to around 106 million viewers, just to watch this football game or college football attracting around several millions of viewers for just a college football game. This game is important to the Americans as this is probably the most popular sport in the USA and a game that the Americans invented and has been playing since the first half of the 19th century. American football, has also bought people together in America. It doesnt matter what the colour of your skin is, but as long as you support and cheering for the same teams, you are treated as family.

Negative aspects of American Football

There are a few negative things that come with American football. But these problems come with every sport and will not disappear; those problems are usually, violence, drugs, controversy, arguments, etc. Violence will never disappear, this might not be in-game violence, but this happens between hardcore team followers and supporters. Another downside to American football is the stereotypes and attitudes that get stuck with it. Like in the early years if you play for the school football team, youre instantly cool and gain reputation and most of the time it is those guys that does end up bullying others that is not in the team because they feel like they are more superior to others. Compare American football here in Australia and America. American Football (or gridiron) is not a big thing here in Australia. There are other sports that Australians are more passionate about. But there are still a few people that still play this game and know a fair bit about the game. A game of American football does not grab the same amount of viewers like it does up at the United States. American football is basically nothing here in Australia, but if youre interested in playing this game, you should visit this site or look around your neighbourhood to see if it has a gridiron team. http://www.clubsonline.com.au/site/index.cfm? fuseaction=display_main&OrgID=885&dts=311201034436

Experience watching the Superbowl XLIV Here we go, one of the biggest and important days here in the American calendar, the Superbowl XLIV. The atmosphere is so beautiful and exciting, you see everyone that is coming to watch are in their team colours, jerseys and even have big banners. Theres noise everywhere, either from people talking, music, chanting and everything. Theres food stands wherever you look,

I think everything is here; burgers, fries, hotdogs, beverages and everything else. This is only the start. Once I got inside the big stadium of Sun life stadium in Miami gardens, Florida, it amazed me. There were probably around 75000 people in that stadium all in either black or gold (supporting the New Orleans Saints) or in Blue and White (supporting the Indianapolis Colts). The noise just got even louder, full of cheering, shouting and talking. The Who was performing during halftime, this is also probably to grab something to eat, while the game has not begun yet. The score during 6-10 (6 NO, 10 IC). The game is over and the noise got even louder than it already was, I cant even hear myself think, thats how loud it was. The saints ended up beating the colts; the final score was 31-17. Fireworks went off, yelling, chanting and singing was happening all over the stadium. This is incredible; this is definitely a site to see.
