Arrests: 3:05pm 4900 blk Mission Warrant

Officers Morrow and Naval responded to a local store due to transients loitering and sleeping in the parking lot. The officers passed by and notified the group of people that they were not allowed to loiter. Officer Naval later identified one of the suspects and a computer check revealed the suspect had 2 active traffic warrants. He was taken into custody and booked upon confirmation of the warrant. 7:12pm

Sunnydale/Hahn

Warrant

Officers Johnson, Hart, Phillips and Obot were patrolling the Sunnydale housing unit. While on patrol, they noticed a subject from prior police contact. The officers made contact with the subject and later conducted a computer check which revealed that he had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $75,000. He was arrested and brought to Ingleside station. Report number 110541431

Officers Apodaca, Gabriel, Benavidez and Lustenberg responded to a call about a vandalism incident. The 2 victims had been in their garage when they heard a loud noise outside. When the victims went to investigate, they saw a parked vehicle across from their residence and observed 2 suspects standing in front of their house. The victims

made contact with one of the suspects at which point the suspects fled and threw a beer bottle at the garage, breaking the window. The officers then conducted a walk through with the victims and found a champagne bottle which had broken another window. A description of the suspects was provided and officers searched the area unsuccessfully for them. Report number 120577573

500 blk Russia

Vandalism

Officers Paras and Shugars were dispatched to a call about a vandalism incident. The officers were met by the victim who told them that she arrived home and saw her garage door intact and undamaged. Once inside her house, she heard a loud crash. The victim went outside to investigate and saw two suspects who had just broken a piece of glass from her garage. The victim cleaned the glass up before Ingleside units arrived. Report number 120579381

3200 blk Mission

Aggravated Assault

Officers Shugars and Paras were dispatched to a call regarding a stabbing. Additional Ingleside units responded as backup. Officer Burke spoke with the victim and broadcast the suspects description over the radio. The victim told the officers that he was inside a local store when he found a cell phone on the counter, but he did not know whom it belonged to. The victim exited the store and was approached by the suspect who asked Why do you have my phone, the suspect then began yelling, pulled out a knife and cut the victim. Paramedics arrived on scene to treat the victim. Officer Paras went to the local store to ask the cashier if he had any additional information but he did not. After the victims description, the officers searched the area and found someone fitting the description. However, when the victim was asked if that was the man whom had robbed him he said it wasnt. The suspect was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a grey sweatshirt with black writing, black pants, black shoes and had a black messenger bag. Report number 120579400

2100 blk Geneva

Robbery

Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were on patrol when they were flagged down by a female witness inside a convenient store. When the officers entered the store, the witness pointed to another female who had gotten robbed. The victim had been walking to the MUNI station when 3 suspects tried to grab her purse. She resisted but was eventually pushed down and her purse was taken. The victim suffered a laceration to her knee. Officer Apodaca broadcast the description of the suspects while Officer Gabriel searched the area for the suspects but with no results. Report number 120577216

Arrests: 8:00pm 600 blk Holly Park Burglary/Vandalism


Officers Jones and Dominguez responded to a burglary alarm at a local school. When they arrived, they searched the perimeter and found a back door unlocked. They entered the school and began to search for suspects. While searching, they heard a loud noise from the second floor, they ascended the steps and found the suspect who immediately put his hands up and looked shocked. The suspect had a key ring with several keys on it. When the suspect was ordered to lie on the floor, 2 phones slipped out of his pocket. The suspect told the officers neither the phones nor the keys were his. During the interview, the suspect told the officers that he was walking by the school when he saw a door propped open by a garbage can and a janitor inside. The suspect entered the building and hid until the janitor left. He then went to the main office and found the keys and phones and pulled on the wires of the alarm box in order to disable it. That is when the officers arrived and arrested the suspect. Report number 120577523

Officers Peregrina and Dominguez responded to a call of a well being check. Officers Apodaca and Gabriel were first to arrive on scene. When the officers first arrived, a man

had opened the door for them and brought the officers to the man who had been struck. The officers were told that the male who had opened the door for them had gotten into a brief altercation with the other man. The first male had been in the garage when the second male entered. They began arguing and engaged in mutual combat. Report number 120574808

100 blk Moreland

Theft

Police Services Aid Zabarte prepared a report for a victim of theft. The victim states that she locked and parked her car earlier in the day and when she returned later she saw her driver door open. Various items were taken. The victim had touched several parts of the car thereby contaminating and proper fingerprint analysis. Report number 120572882

Arrests: 6:15am 4900 blk Mission Theft


Officer Morrow was on patrol when he was dispatched to a local store, concerning an attempted shoplifting and fight. The reportee told the officer that the suspect came into the store and placed items on his person and in his backpack. The stores employees attempted to get the items back, but the suspect became violent and the security guard was forced to arrest the suspect. When Officer Morrow arrived, he conducted a check on the suspect which revealed he had a full extradition warrant out of Massachusetts. What was originally a call about an attempted theft turned into an inter-state fugitive being sent back to Massachusetts to be tried for his crimes, leaving the streets of San Francisco safer. 200 blk John F Shelley Auto Boost

Officer Frisk responded to a call regarding a theft from a vehicle. When she arrived, she was given a description of the suspect and the stolen vehicle. The suspect fled and but the information was dispatched over the radio. Officers Curry and Sanchez began looking for the vehicle and located it near McLaren Park. When the officers recognized the plate number, they enacted a felony stop. They exited their vehicle, ordered the suspect out of the vehicle and searched him. He was then placed under arrest by the officers. Additional Ingleside units responded to the scene, including Officer Frisk, whom was transporting a witness for a cold show. The witness positively identified the suspect. Report number 120556618

Mission/Randall

Warrant

Officers Chew and Lim were dispatched to Mission and Randall. The officers were given a description of a suspect who was screaming and causing damage to the area. Officer Najarro met with the other two officers and detained the male suspect. The officers conducted a computer check which revealed that the man had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $10,000. If the man hadnt started screaming, he wouldnt have ended in cuffs. Report number 120572692

Warrant

Officers Lim and Chew responded to a call about a female suspect emptying garbage cans and tearing up landscaping. When the officers arrived, they arrested the suspect. She only gave her information to the officers verbally. A records check they found she had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $20,000. Report number 120572777

4:42pm

100 blk Cora

Parole Violation

Officers Burke and Campos were on patrol when they were contacted by two parole agents. The agents told the suspect to open the door at which point he was handcuffed by Officer Campos. The other officers conducted a search of the suspects residence, where they located 2 bottles of alcohol which placed him in violation of the conditions of his parole. Report number 120573117

8:22pm

San Jose/ Geneva

Warrant

Officers Khan and Morse were patrolling the Ingleside. They observed a vehicle with expired registration and affected a traffic stop. Officer Morse contacted the driver and asked for his license, registration and insurance. The driver had none of the items, but did possess a California Identified Card. The officers conducted a computer check to find that the suspect had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $10,000, and that he was driving on a suspended license. After confirmation of the warrant, the officers arrested the suspect and brought him back to Ingleside. Report number 120573894

While working at the station Officer Carrasco prepared a report for a victim of fraud. The victim told the officer that his ATM card was stolen and being used fraudulently. The

victim said that he ordered a new credit card but never received it. He called his credit union and was told that it had been used for several withdrawals. Report number 120579444

11:15am

100 blk Day

Burglary

Officer Castillo was dispatched to a burglary. When the officer arrived he was met by the victims. The officer was told that the victims had left their house earlier in the day and while out they received a call from a neighbor whom stated that their front gate had been damaged. When the victims returned, the gate had been completely unhinged and the bedroom window and kitchen doors were found open. When the victims entered their house they noticed several items missing. Officer Castillo inspected the entire residence and was able to call CSI to process the scene. In a related incident, the officer was told by the victim that her neighbor had seen someone try to break into the house several days prior to this incident. Report number 120573690

While working at Ingleside, Officer Cato prepared a report for a victim of fraud. The victim told the officer that she received several envelopes from a cell phone provider. The victim said that someone had opened several accounts without her knowledge or permission. Report number 120578838

Theft/Fraud

Officer Lee was at the station when a victim of theft and fraud came in. Officer Lee prepared a report for the victim. The victim stated that he had parked his car the previous night and when he returned his car window had been broken into and various items were missing. Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi examined the victims vehicle for prints, but found nothing. Report number 120575828
