Product Data Sheet Product Description: Cake Mix 96 fat/emulsifier system is made from top-quality vegetable oils. The use of Cake Mix 96 is covered under CFR Title 21, 101.4(b)(14), 182.4505, 172.856 and 182.1400.

Typical data suggests that Cake Mix 96 may be suitable for the use in making single-stage cake mixes with a high tolerance for user processing variability. This optimum system results in tender finished cakes with high volume. Cake Mix 96 is processed to have excellent oxidative stability, so shelf- life of your finished product is extended. Cake Mix 96 is convenient and simple to use. It eliminates scaling errors and costly inventories of several functional items, and provides consistency from batch to batch. The user is advised to fully evaluate the functionality and shelf life of the shortening in their intended finished product at their own facilities, as performance may be affected by varying formulations and process conditions.

Storage and Handling: Cake Mix 96 requires no refrigeration. However, like all fats, it will absorb odors and should be stored in a dry place away from odor-producing materials. Based on the typical data a shelf-life of 210 days is suggested for packaged product stored at 65-80F.*
