Expected Outcomes

The outcome of this course is that the students should be able to select the material for the given application, able to analyze the machine components based on load conditions and stress factors. The students should be able to design or select the machine components such as Shaft, bearings, Springs, Fly wheels, levers, keys Bolted and welded joints etc.,

Be able to apply The principles of Mathematics, engineering materials and strength of materials and related subjects and the student should be able to solve the real time design problems faced by him in the industry

R 2008 Physics, Mathematics The student is introduced to the definition and properties of fluid. Principles of fluid statics, kinematics and dynamics are dealt with subsequently. The application of similitude and model study are covered subsequently. After undergoing this course, the student would have learnt fluid properties and applications to real situations of fluid flow. an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering, an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data, an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams, an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems To provide opportunities to students to work in interdisciplinary projects across the various branches of Civil Engineering. To provide students with a sound foundation in mathematical and scientific subjects which are necessary prerequisites for a clear and sound understanding of Civil Engineering as a whole and to encourage those students who are motivated to go for Postgraduate programmes in the branch of their interest.
