Some are herbivores, some carnivores and a small figure are omnivores. Geese on the other hand, are more like swans. Geese often live in pairs and groups. True geese are only found in the northern hemisphere. They graze on grass and other vegetation. At night, they roost on open water. There are two types of geese, namely the grey geese and the black geese. Swans have long necks with more vertebrate than any other animal. This gives them flexibility and allows them to reach plants up to about a metre below the surface of water. Swans feed on grass and water plants.
