Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, students are able to 1.1 define the various types and format of computer graphics (C2, A2, P2), 1.2 discuss elements of effective graphic design for instructional purposes (C3, A3, P2), 1.3 apply responsible, ethical, and legal use of technology, information, and software resources when designing instructional materials (C3, A5, P3), 1.4 choose the right tools for producing instructional computer graphics (C4, A1, P1),

utilize graphics software for designing instructional materials based on sound educational pedagogy (C6, A4, P4).

Synopsis: This course identifies and describes tools that impact the design and delivery of instruction. Course coverage will include both theoretical understanding of digital technologies, and handson experience with applications and hardware. Students will be introduced to the basics of graphics software. They will learn the elements and functions of effective graphic design. Additionally, students will discuss and apply the copyright laws and guidelines. The knowledge obtained in this course will enable students to develop effective computer-based instructional materials.
