RAYMUNDO, Jinky Loyce E. 2009-00797-MN-0 BS ECE 2-1 History is of great importance than what it may seem to us.

We most probably suppose History as a school thing, remembering the remarkable events once upon a time, endless memorization of distinguished names of leaders and their heroic deeds some time ago, and the complete collision of the significant dates of our yesteryears. In a common objective deduction, we, students in particular, could most possibly hate History as we do generally loathe Mathematics. In as much as the question of the value of learning the limit of the function as the independent variable gets closer to a certain number or the relationship between natural and common logarithm would affect and concern the respective fields weve chosen in life unless were all mathematicians, accountants, engineers, and any other course that requires arithmetic, we might as well probe the merit of knowing Christopher Columbus discovery of America while simultaneously adhering to the regime of the first ever Black President of America, President Barrack Obama, we dont need to be historians to know these things, but we do for both are history and significant though it may not be personally significant to each and every one. Thus, in query of the importance of History in our lives, the History we typically regard as like the instances mentioned earlier, perhaps is not a question of personal significance which could be debatable but history might mean as a shared conceived knowledge, ideology, philosophy, principles and values that led us to become what we are now, either as an individual or as a community. History depicts not only the past, also the present and most especially the future. It has been said that he who controls the past controls the future. Whatever decisions and visions we have and will be having are relevantly associated with our history. History can go too far from family history to world history to the highest degree. See that history is not as merely as past events and dates as one assumes. For instance, a family goes watching television all together after dinner in their living room then suddenly the surrounding was enveloped with a horrible smell, apparently one farted in view that the sequence of events happened to be after dinner. Thats one history. In that case they have to determine who the culprit is so they could charge him guilty and perhaps condemn him as well. The family has to sort through differing statements and one piece of enlightenment such as the universal fact that a culprit seldom admits his offenses would help the existing puzzle at hand. Another would be the knowledge about each one accumulated over the span of living together on the particularity of the present affair. Hence, the one who farts the most before, or the one who usually farts most disgustingly are details that could possibly be deliberated. All of this is fundamentally history and it would dictate by some means our response in the current situation. Its likewise the same thing of the reason why a doctor asks his patients about his familys medical history so the doctor may

relatively assemble some rational picture of his patients state of health. The hospital then provides a form to make ones case into account in accord to the patients subsequent visits if necessary. Consequently, it would be convenient for the doctor and the same patient to have his case recorded so he doesnt necessarily have to undergo the same redundant prerequisites if there is such that the doctor needs to attend to since a file at hand is an ample determinant to his patients case. Thus, recorded health conditions, illustrated family background, past actions and past incidents are credibly influential to the present-day. Everything and anything about the past matters a great deal although the cited examples earlier could be the most superficial paradigm of historys importance. History is far more broad and profound than what it appears. By understanding history, we can better predict what happens ahead of us. By scrutinizing, we would be in full awareness of what we should avoid from past mistakes and what we should hold on to and make better. We wont have to cope with the same troubles, struggles, dilemmas such as Martial Law if were wiser nowadays to prevent undesirable things from happening. History brings about prevention and preparation in unison for the future concerns to come. History is a mere choice. Its a choice between ignorance and comprehension about religion, society, law, or inventions and everything that constitutes the past and stimulates the present. Its a choice of bringing action or remaining submissive. Peaceful revolution, unwavering nationalism, anticipated freedom, these are some ideals that weve learned from history. History allows us to make the changes needed to make this a better world. The importance of history is lifes lessons, which gives us the knowledge we used to live by.
