With the objective of preparing quality professionals and researchers to work at high-end technologies in IT. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING is one of the specializations in M.TECH that is committed to deliver future project leaders and architects , who can meet challenges , make use of technologies and understand the needs of modern software development.

The students of software engineering are among the top 1.5% of GATE qualified candidates . Entrance to M.Tech(IT) Software Engineering consists of 3 level of tests i.e. Written test ,Coding test followed by an interview.

Introduced in 2004, this branch promises to deliver future project Leaders and Architects, who can meet challenges, make use of technologies and understand the needs of modern software development. Here we train them to work in a team, lead it, allowing exposure to the practicalities and difficulties in projects of varying complexities to make sure that they have capability to turn dreams of business leaders and visionaries in to, realities.

Incubation and Entrepreneurship

An initiative taken by Department of Science and Technology (Government of India) and I.I.I.T Allahabad incubation and entrepreneurship centre to develop a robust leadership and entrepreneurial habitat in India. I.I.I.T.A mentors and provide seed funding to the students having innovative and out of box ideas.
