Portforwarding Port forwarding or port mapping is a name given to the combined technique of

-->translating the address and/or port number of a packet to a new destination -->possibly accepting such packet(s) in a packet filter (firewall) -->forwarding the packet according to the routing table. Step 1: You need to find your IP. Go to Start -->Run--> type :CMD (for windows 7 Right click the "COMMAND PROMPT" in the Accessories and Select "Run as administrator". Step 2 : In the command prompt --> type ipconfig /all (as shown below)

-->Select DMZ --> type your IP -->Save&Apply.

-->Select Virtual Server --> Add server --> Save&Apply

Step 5 :For Basic router// modem -->Click the Advanced button

-->Select Virtual Server --> Add server --> Save&Apply

OR -->Click the Port Forwarding button near the left of the page.

-->We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Utorrent requires you to forward the

ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Custom Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply.

-->Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box. -->And that is it! You are done! Step 6 :Portforward in Torrent -->Click Options --> Preference -->Connections or (Ctrl+P).

-->Click "random port" once, and note the port number provided. This will be the port number you will be forwarding in your router. (You may also assign a port number of your choice)

-->To Portforward click the Bottom corner of the Torrent as shown in the picture.

--> After you select your port, left-click "Run tests" to check that the port is open. It is essential that a port is open for Torrent to listen for incoming connections on. If you are having trouble opening a port, You made some mistake.

-->Save and Close. -->And that is it! You are done!
