Dear Second Graders,

elcome to the 2nd grade! My name is

Goals and Guidelines,

Mister Medved and I am totally amped up to be your new teacher! To the side is my self-drawn, self-portrait. You all will be able to compose your own self-portrait as well, yayy! In addition this year we will be learning how to count beans, how to count pretzels, and how to count shoe pairs (tricky). I know this sounds like a lot to learn in a year but Im fully confident our class will be fun, exciting, and immersed with learning!

ne of my goals for this class is to make education easier through learning self- affirmations. We will be self- affirming such phrases such as I am small and I am smart! Also I can remember to raise my hand!

echnology is an awesome tool that can be used in the classroom to enhance our class learning. In addition, in order to meet certain academic technology standards, we will using a combination of the latest GPS devices, data- mining software, and infrared homing technologies to facilitate our bean, pretzel, and shoe pair counting. With the assistance of these technologies our class will surely be ready to tackle any challenges that a future 21st century individual will need.

In the United States, there is little difference between the terms college and university. However, the term college in other countries, such as Canada, refers to a junior college or trade college, where as a university is larger, more research focused, and usually contains multiple colleges. Typically, the worst paying majors are Social Work, Theology, Elementary Education, Music, Spanish, Horticulture, Education, Fine Arts, Hospitality/Tourism, and Drama. The majors with the best pay include Engineering, Economics, and Physics. Harvard Stadium was the first reinforced concrete structure in the world. The word alumnus is Latin meaning a pupil and, literally, a foster son.
