TEACHERS LESSON PLAN LEVEL: 7th (English)
UNIT # Unit 7: What happened? UNIT AIMS: To study simple past tense with regular and irregular verbs by developing some reading, listening, writing, vocabulary and grammatical exercises. NUMBER OF LESSONS IN THIS UNIT: 15 (9 - 13) NUMBER OF WEEKLY LESSONS: 5 DATE: Monday, May 28th 2012 LESSON AIMS: Lesson 9: To speak about past activities. Lesson 10: To study verbs and noun pairs. Lesson 11: To practice simple past and verb and noun pairs. Lesson 12: To read the article "The daughter of a lion" and to answer some questions about it. Lesson 13: To read a short text about Christopher Reeve and to write a paragraph about a famous person. ACTIVITIES: RESOURCES: Lesson 9: English book 1.) The general lesson about the verbs in taken English notebook the first hour. Teacher's activity sheets 2.) Check pages 52, 110, 111 and 112. Computing book 3.) Ask students some questions in simple past CD player and make them practice. CD 4.) Ask students to open their books on page 53 and make them do activities 7a, b and c. Make sure they are working correctly. Activities b and c are done first orally and then written. 5.) Check answers. Lesson 10: 1.) Teach verb and noun pairs, make them copy in their notebooks. 2.) Students open their books on page 53 and do activities 8a and b. Check answers 3.) Students turn to page 70 and do the proposed activity. 4.) Students turn to page 67 and check the vocabulary. 5.) Their homework is to copy that vocabulary in their notebooks. Lesson 11: 1.) Use teacher's activity sheets and make students do the activities in their notebook in grammar part. (x) 2.) Check answers. 3.) Do vocabulary practice with students. They work in their notebooks. They do activites from

1 to 4. 4.) Check answers 5.) Students open their books on page 113. They do activities 6a and b. Check answers. 6.) Computing activities. Lesson 12: 1.) Use the background information of page 98 and dictate students that. 2.) Do the correction with them and explain new vocabulary. 3.) Ask students if they know anything about the history of England. Cna they name any queens or kings. 4.)Students open their books on page 54 and do activity 9a. Check answers. 5.) Students listen to the cd and answer activity 9b of page 55. Check answers. Lesson 13: 1.) Use teacher's guide and dictate them the background information of page 98. 2.) Do the correction with them and explain any new vocabulary. 3.) Preteach the words "back and wheelchair". Students read the article on page 55. 4.) Students' homework is to do activity b in their notebooks. 5.) Students work on pages 113, 114 and 115. Send them to finish at home if they did not finish in class. ASSESSMENT: Lesson 9: oral and written lesson. Lesson 10: class participation. Lesson 11: class participation. Lesson 12: class participation. Lesson 13: class participation. LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students are aware of the class, they participate developing all of the prposed activities. NOTES: The oral and written lesson is about the verbs on page 73.
