A TRAINING REPORT REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING PERIOD: - MAY 21, 2012 TO JULY 04, 2012 PREPARED BY : SAURABH SAIN HARSHIT SINGHAL III YR., B. TECH. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING GUIDED BY RR SITE SUBMITTED TO: RR SITE Mr. : Mr.

PREFACE As we know that an engineer has to serve an industry, for that one must be aware of industrial environment, their management, problems and the way of working ou t their solutions at the industry. After the completion of the course an engineer must have knowledge of interrelat ion between the theory and the practical. For this, one must be familiar with pr actical knowledge with theory aspects. To make aware with practical knowledge the engineering courses provides a four w eeks industrial training where we get the opportunity to get theory applying for running the various process and production in the industry & to get an exposure to the real life working of an industry. I have been lucky enough to get a chance for undergoing this training at RAJASTH AN ATOMIC POWER STATION (RAWATBHATA). It is a constituent of board of Nuclear Po wer Corporation of India, Limited. This report has been prepared on the basis of knowledge acquired by me during my training period at the plant.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS It awards me abundant pleasure and aspiration in presenting my training report c onsisting of various pages along with suitable drawings and photocopies. As this is my first effort to prepare a training report, I have tried my best to compil

e all necessary data yet there may be possibility of error and omission. I want to express my heartiest gratitude to Mr. C.P.Jhamb, Site Director, Mr. D. CHANDA, Training Superintendent and my training coordinator Mr. R.K SHARMA, Scie ntific Officer (SO)/ F at NTC RR SITE , for providing me an opportunity to get a rigor ous training at Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, Rawatbhata. I would like to convey my special thanks to Mr. and my project-guide Mr. for th eir all time available guidance and supervision during my training period. I would like to extend my thanks to all other field engineers, supervisors and t echnicians of Control Maintenance Group of RAPS, those who directly and indirect ly helped me during this training period with there valuable guidance and help p rovided in understanding the task of this training.

My training at RAPS covered gathering information about the general working of t he plant, safety features and various technical aspects of the design. This gave way to general classification of various systems of the plant, then covering th

e information about the theory and working of Control Systems of the plant. Furt her it included knowing about the maintenance work carried in the NTC Control Ma intenance Shop.
