Courses and Events

Taupo Parents Centre offers free comprehensive Hope you are all keeping nice and warm.
childbirth education courses to help you and your partner prepare for having a baby. Approximately 12 courses a year in Taupo and 6 courses in Turangi Each course is limited to twelve couples so book early! The childbirth education course covers: nutrition and exercise during pregnancy Labour signs and stages pain relief options and interventions the birth process and birth video informed decision making on vitamin K and immunizations breastfeeding and newborn care postnatal depression Course start dates for 2012: TAUPO, 7 evening sessions, 7-9pm. Aug 6th Sept 5th Sept 24th October 24th Nov 24th Jan 7th 2013 Jan 30th 2013

Ladies Night!! Have you got your tickets??? Spot Prizes, Raffle, Nibbles and Music by Dj Panther. Tickets are $20 per person, Cash bar All proceeds (after outgoings) will be donated to Pregnancy Help Taupo Contact Leanne Pettman on 02102677440 for tickets. No Door Sales......Limited spaces
We are short on newborn clothing (stretch n grows, singlets, all in ones and jumpers) if you have any that are not in use and would be willing to donate to us, we would love to have them, feel free to drop off at the office 32 Northwood Road. We have entered into the Trust Power Community Awards!!! These will take place on the 3rd September. I would like to say Thank you to Taupo Expresso for their kind donation! Thank you to all those that have donated clothing and baby items, without these we would be unable to help others. A big THANK YOU to all of our Volunteers for all the hard work that you do, it is much appreciated.

Patents Centre Music & Movement 10am session is for Children/babies aged 0 to 5 years. $2 members, $3 non-members to attend

Plunket offer a Free Your Growing Baby Course for babies 6 weeks to 1years. Term 4 18th Oct 22nd Nov 10am 12pm And a FREE You Active Toddler for babies from 12Months Term 4 19th Oct to 2nd Nov 10am -12pm

Young Mums Playgroup Come along and join in with other young mums have a catch up whilst your children play. From time to time there will be sessions for mums on cooking, parenting, budgeting whatever you would like! Dates: Mondays from 6th August 2012 Time: 9.30-11.30 Venue: Salvation Army Hall Kiddle Drive Great toys! Taupo Parent Centre : have a collection box up at their rooms at AC Baths Avenue for us, so if you cannot make it up to our office you could drop items off there.

Seasons A loss and grief support programme for children between 5 18 years old Growing Through Grief are now taking enrolments for the Seasons programme which is run during Term time on Tuesdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm for 9 weeks, at the St Andrews Anglican Church Hall, Taupo. This programme is free to all children. Please call Gaylene 021 322 725 or leave a message for your call to be returned on 378 6059.
