com Ingls (nivel bsico) Condicional cero (zero conditional-type 0) Se utiliza para situaciones que son siempre verdaderas, como por ejemplo en leyes empricas. Su construccin es If + present simple + present simple. Por ejemplo: If you freeze water, it turns into ice (si congelas agua, se convierte en hielo) If she eats shellfish, she gets an allergy (si come marisco, le da alergia) Primer condicional (first conditional-type I) Se utiliza para situaciones posibles. Su construccin es If + present simple + future simple Por ejemplo: If it doesnt rain tomorrow, well go to the beach (si no llueve maana, iremos a la playa) If you study more, you will pass your exam (si estudias ms, aprobars el examen) Segundo condicional (second conditional-type II) Se utiliza para situaciones poco probables o hipotticas. Su construccin es If + past simple + conditional simple Por ejemplo: If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world (si ganase la lotera, viajara alrededor del mundo) If I were you, I would tell him the truth (si fuese t, le dira la verdad) Ntese que en el pasado simple del verbo to be se utiliza siempre la forma were. Tercer condicional (third conditional-type III) Se utiliza para situaciones pasadas en las que en otras circunstancias se hubiese preferido actuar de otro modo o hubiese sucedido algo distinto. Su construccin es If + past perfect + conditional perfect Por ejemplo: If he had worked more, he would have saved more money (si hubiese trabajado ms, hubiese ahorrado ms dinero) I would have understood the problem if she had explained it better (habra entendido el problema si ella lo hubiese explicado mejor) Adems de if (si), otras partculas para introducir condiciones son when (cuando) y unless (a no ser que). Por ejemplo: The grass looks better when you take care of it (el csped luce mejor cuando te ocupas de l) We wont phone the doctor unless he feels worse (no llamaremos al mdico a menos que se sienta peor)
