The Computerized EMI TubePRO-554-P is designed to perform a quality inspection of new & used oilfield tubulars up to 5 O.D. to the most stringent industry standards & specifications. The TubePRO is quickly serviced and maintained with minimum downtime. A typical set of stationary components consists of the electronics cabinet, computer, main inspection desk, center-section, inspection heads, hydraulic power unit, & conveyors. Here are some key features & details included in a standard system: SKID-MOUNTED INSPECTION CENTERSECTION is constructed of a heavy-duty aluminum mainframe with remote-controlled hydraulic actuator jacks to raise & lower to pipe size being inspected. Mounted on the mainframe is a transverse inspection coil, longitudinal rotating head with drive-train & protective guard, slip rings, 3 pinch roller modules, electronic photo-eyes & on-board hydraulic system. Rollers are actuated by electronic photo eyes. ELECTRONICS PACKAGE is PC Based and controlled by computer with mouse. Computer saves inspection data to disk and generates customized inspection reports as specified by operator. Windows-Based software provides easy data transfer, storage and recall. Inspection results can be recalled from hard drive or from floppy and can be viewed on any Windows-compatible computer. All settings for transverse, longitudinal and magnetic wall system are adjusted on the computer by clicking a mouse. A high speed desktop PC with 17 flat panel screen is included. TRANSVERSE SYSTEM Transverse inspection magnetizing coil is designed for high gauss output & heat dissipation, resulting in maximum detection of transverse-oriented flaws. Inspection heads are the air-actuated type for excellent shoe ride & longevity, with quick disconnects for detector hook-up. Air-Actuated heads sizes 1.660 to 5 are actuated open and shut with standard photo-eyes or Optional PLC. The inspection results are displayed real-time on computer color monitor (High speed computer and flat panel monitor included). Choice of 5 Shoe Heads included, other sizes optional. LONGITUDINAL SYSTEM Inspection of longitudinally-oriented flaws is accomplished with a high-speed rotating head with multiplexed signal processing system. Signal is transmitted from the rotating head through a high-tech slip ring to the computerized electronics system. Head is rotationally powered by a variable-speed DC electric motor, controlled by operator at control desk. Rotating detector shoes are quick-disconnect type with military-spec plugs, mounted to centrifugal-motion arms, allowing pipe to move forward or back. The inspection results are displayed in real-time on computer monitor. Radius shoes included for sizes, 2-3/8, 2-7/8, 3-1/2, four (4) flat shoes included for larger sizes. MAGNETIC WALL THICKNESS MONITORING SYSTEM (TRUE WALL) New Techs exclusive TRUE WALL solid state hall effects wall monitoring system eliminates the need for radioactive gamma systems as with older units. Stationary sensor configuration is situated around the tube to give excellent coverage and accuracy and has the ability to detect gradual wall loss and the ability to statically park on a wall loss to reduce prove-up time. Results are displayed in real-time on computer monitor. DIGITAL MAGNETIZING COIL POWER SUPPLIES for the transverse & longitudinal coils are high-tech constant current modules which electronically selfadjust when current varies. This feature contributes towards more consistent & repeatable inspection results.

PIPE CONVEYOR SYSTEM is to accommodate pipe sizes 1.315 to 5 , Range II & III lengths. Heavy-duty steel channel frames with welded supports & cross-members support and convey pipe on large urethane v-rollers & industrial pillow block bearings. Rollers are hydraulically-driven, variable speed. Conveyor channel frames are primed & painted to resist rust & corrosion and should be mounted to customers furnished vertical pedestals. All hydraulic lines are stainless steel and are mounted inside of channel webbing to resist damage. Hydraulic solenoid valves and manifolds are mounted to conveyor channels on each side closest to center-section & hydraulic power unit. Dimensions: 80 ft. total length/with 3 ft. walkways between sections (4 sections x 18.5 ft. long). They include base plates for easy mounting to floor. LOADER/UNLOADER ARMS are mounted into the conveyor frame work. Pipe loads from one direction and unloads one direction off the outgoing conveyors. (Bi-Directional pipe un-loaders are available, see Options below) HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT is skid-mounted with dual pumps, 10 hp electric motor with pump, tank, filters and pressure/return hoses. Motor magnetic starter included for 440/380/220 volt, 50 or 60hz electric power. (Customer to furnish power) OPERATIONS PANEL Located on the operators desk, this panel includes switches for pinch rollers, air actuated shoe heads, loader and un-loader arm, auto manual control, emergency on/off kill switch and rotating head speed with tachometer. This panel is prewired to the center-section for easy installation and can be mounted to any operator desktop. *INSPECTION BUILDING (OPTIONAL) is skid-mounted. It is constructed of industrial-grade materials with heavy steel frame and skid base. Steel walk-in door is located on the operator side, while a heavy duty roll-up overhead door is located on the center-section side. A divider wall with large operator viewing window is located between the operators compartment and center-section area. Building is heavily insulated for cold and hot weather, rated for extreme outdoor application. Floors are covered with aluminum diamond safety plate, operators compartment is air conditioned. Both compartments are equipped with safety fluorescent lamps, 110V outlets installed inside and outside of building for operation or power tools, optional equipment, etc. A 110/220V electrical breaker box is installed inside building for easy access to all electric controls.
