Brief for The Taj Conspiracy The Taj Conspiracy is Book 1 of a thriller trilogy, due for release in Jan-Feb

2012. It is the 3rd book of writer Manreet Sodhi Someshwar. Author Bio: Manreet Sodhi Someshwar trained as an Engineer, graduated from the Indian
Institute of Management, Calcutta, and worked in marketing, advertising and consulting. An award-winning writer (Commonwealth Broadcasting Association), her articles have featured in the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, several Indian publications, and South China Morning Post (Hong Kong). She has appeared at many literary festivals, including, most recently, the Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival 2011, and the Singapore Writers Festival 2009. Manreet is also an award-winning copywriter. Brand: The Taj Conspiracy:


The premise of the novel: When a young Mughal conservator stumbles on a conspiracy to destroy Taj Mahal, she must battle her inner demons and overcome a prejudiced police to decipher clues that will unmask the mysterious conspirator.

The protagonist: Features an unconventional heroine, Mehrunisa Khosa, who is trained in


Renaissance art and is a Mughal historian. A 30-year-old woman of Persian-Indian parentage, her striking looks and glacial demeanour mask a troubled past.

Who are we talking to? Readers from 15 years upwards. Were looking at readers who have made books like the Shiva trilogy and Chanakyas Chant successful. These readers are net-savvy and active users of social media and online media; dont necessarily reside in metros. What is our objective? Creating awareness and disseminating information about The Taj Conspiracy by actively leveraging online and social media - email, websites, blogs, Facebook, twitter, Youtube. The author has two online platforms, Website with blog and a Facebook page, which she will use to build excitement around the brand through quizzes, contests, blog posts, videos etc. Our objective is to drive traffic to the two platforms - Author website and Facebook page by creating pathways; generate buzz around the brand by developing a vibrant community

that will Like, Share, Comment, participate in contests/quizzes etc; make the brand videos go viral on Youtube. Therefore, we need to: 1) Conceptualise the strategy for achieving the above overall objective - with specific implementation plans 2) Real time execution of the same to arrive at our deliverables. Thriller is a genre which is the most popular in Indian fiction and doesn't have an age limit. Novels in this genre have sold 100,000+ copies recently (Chankayas Chant, Shiva trilogy)

What is in it for the Team that works on the above project?
