Organisation of the Workshop Room
Think about how you would like to organise the room for your presentation. You may like to discuss this with the Roll Call teacher prior to beginning the workshop. Some options: - Normal classroom arrangement, semi-circle of tables and chairs, circle of tables and chairs, groups of tables and chairs If you do rearrange the room, remember to arrange the room back to how it was before you leave. Make sure the computer, data projector and speakers are switched on and ready to go at the before you start the workshop.

Introduction:
Today we are going to explore an issue that relates to being a good digital citizen which means participating safely with digital technology including things like computers, mobile phones and the internet. Being a good digital citizen is important whether you are at home, work or school. We are focusing on the issue of protecting your Digital Footprint Everything you do online leaves a mark. We call this your digital footprint. Even if you think you have erased something from your profile, it may still exist.

Ask staff to assist with the organisation of students

Speak slowly and clearly

Make sure the computer, data projector and speakers are switched on. Ask staff to login to Internet.

Activity 1: Online Video - Reputations Online


Lets look at a video which explores your digital footprint Do anyone here think that at one time or another they have posted something online that was funny at the time, but might not be funny if your parents saw it? Talk about this with the person next to you (2 mins) What happened in this situation? Where there any consequences from the situation?

Activity 2: Tips on Protecting Your Digital Footprint


Lets look at some tips for looking after your Digital Footprint Go through Prezi and discuss points as you go First Image Everything you post online messages, comments, images can all be tagged by other people and they are all part of your digital footprint.
