PHAIDON AND VISITSWEDEN ANNOUNCE 6-CITY NORTH AMERICAN BOOK TOUR WITH CHEF MAGNUS NILSSON TO LAUNCH NEW COOKBOOK: FVIKEN OCTOBER TOUR TO INCLUDE EVENTS WITH U.S. CHEFS SEAN BROCK, DANIEL PATTERSON AND MATT DILLON New York, NY (August 30, 2012) Magnus Nilsson, head chef of the legendary Fviken Magasinet restaurant in Sweden, recently named the most daring restaurant in the world by Bon Appetit magazine, will embark on a 6-city author tour across North America from October 11-21, 2012 to promote his highly anticipated new cookbook: FVIKEN (Phaidon, $49.95, Pub Date: October 1). FVIKEN is the first cookbook by the influential 28-year old chef whose 12-seat restaurant, located on a remote 20,000-acre farm and hunting estate in Northern Sweden not far from the Arctic Circle, has recently gained the respect and admiration of foodies and chefs worldwide. The cookbook features 100 recipes and an introduction by food writer Bill Buford. The author tour will include special dinners and book launch events with leading American chefs such as Sean Brock at McCradys in Charleston, Daniel Patterson at COI in San Francisco, Paul Kahan at The Publican in Chicago, and Matt Dillon at Old Chaser Farm in Seattle.
