I hope you all enjoyed your summer. Vacations are over and everyones back in school. The summer months are very hard on churches because so many are out of town not to mention the high-energy costs. The church more times than not finds itself in what I perceive as survival mode which is just trying to get by week after week. Why is that? The church should never be in survival mode, ever! Jesus said it very clearly, On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The rock is Peters confession by faith that, Jesus is the Christ. Therefore, hell does not stand a chance against the advance of the church. This Scripture is telling us that the church is to be storming hells gates. How does the church do this? By proclaiming the Gospel. The Gospel has the power to change lives and demands its hearers to respond. Through the Gospel we are opened up to Gods Word. All of those who sit under the Gospel are in a potentially dangerous place because the proclamation of Gods Word will go one of two ways. One way is to soften the hearts of men towards the grace of God and the other is to harden their hearts. We are not called to know how men will receive the Gospel. We are called to present the Gospel and trust the hearts of our hearers to the Holy Spirit. Do you know why so many church plants are successful? Its because they do their homework. They know their community and its needs. They know they can have friendly, loving church family, great worship and a solid Gospel message but if no one comes they have not done all they can. Church plants must tell people about Jesus. Church plants must invite people to church so that by hearing the Gospel they might be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Church plants are kicking down the gates of hell. Our church must have the mindset of being a new church in this community. We must do our homework and know our community and its needs, we must tell people about Jesus, and we must invite them to church. This is the Gospel message, God is majestic and holy, and you have sinned, but in Christ you can be reconciled back to Him. It is God who opens up eyes and ears. It is God who opens the hearts and minds. There is so much freedom in this. It takes all the pressure off of the perfect presentation. Our responsibility is to tell them about Jesus. Every Sunday is an opportunity to invite someone to church but on the second and fourth Sundays we have something special to make it even easier for you to invite a neighbor or co-worker. So make sure you look at our monthly events calendar and then tell someone about Jesus and invite someone to church. When the Gospel is proclaimed, people respond and the church grows one soul at a time. Lets bless God, Pastor Bill

Every Sunday morning from 8:00am 8:45am, there will be intercessory prayer held in the Pastors office. Then, at 10:45 we have a prayer service, devoted to lifting up our hearts and prayers to the Lord. Come pray with us, as we lift up the ministries, the needs of our church and our community. Pray for those who are sick, in the hospital, or need prayers for their personal struggles. Our community groups provide an opportunity to move beyond Sunday worship. Small groups offer deeper relationships within the Body of Christ. We encourage you to join!
