Session Inputs
Recap: Groups
Before we start the session on Power and Politics, it would be a good practice to refresh the students knowledge on groups development, structure and dynamics with the help of Quiz. Suggested Activity: Quiz Purpose of the activity : Planning required: Remembering , linguistic , inter and intra personal Separating 4 learners groups of 8 each. Facilitating and monitoring. Black board Discuss among groups and answer the questions. Time should be maintained. No helping other groups.

Teaching Material required : Relevant information/ instruction needed before/and during the activity : Activity description: Divide the Learners into 4 groups of 8 each and initiate the team to prepare 5 questions on group development, structure and dynamics. After 5 minutes, each team will ask the other team the prepared questions and we can facilitate the score. Sample questions can be: list the types of groups point the advantages of group structuring advantage and disadvantage of groups Define group dynamics.

With the help of the above activity, we have ensured the students understanding of the group development, structure and dynamics, now let us consolidate the same. Define group, importance of groups, types of groups, structure, group development, and dynamic impact of groups, advantage and disadvantage of groups, real world examples of groups. To learn Power and Politics let us provide the following technical inputs and apply the following Learning Methodology. Now the learners are grouped into 4 of 8 each with different real world examples to demonstrate power, its types, its benefits, its advantages and disadvantages, politics. Suggested Activity: Role Play Purpose of the activity : Planning required: Understanding, inter and intrapersonal skills Separating 4 learner groups of 8 each and give different examples for each group. Facilitating ,monitoring and controlling, Class room, students, white paper, pen, furnitures. Each group must enact according to their turn. Each group should maintain the time. The other group must be an observer. Raise question and answer at the end.

Teaching Material required : Relevant information/ instruction needed before/and during the activity :

Activity description: Separating 4 groups of 8 each and giving different examples for each group. After 5 minutes call the first group and make them arrange the stage for their role play. At the end of the play, the observer had to say the concept of the play and raise questions. It follows the same way for the rest. Now that we have learnt power and politics let us summarize.
