Dear Brethren,

Volume II | Issue 5

Greetings!
The past two months have been the busiest and most active months of our lives. Things are starting to settle down a bit. Why? Because were finally here in New Zealand! We continue to be very thankful to God for all of our supporters. We could not be here laboring for the Lord without your help. Thank you. To God be the glory for the fruit that is produced through this relationship.

Time with Chalmette and Family

Our last few weeks in the USA were a fast- paced opportunity to spend time with the Chalmette church in Louisiana (our overseeing church) and our families. While we were in Louisiana, we visited with the Gonzales church, and we were very encouraged by them for various reasons. One noteworthy reason was, when we got the chance to visit with the elders, one of them said, When we heard you were overseen by the elders in Chalmette, we knew you would preach sound doctrine because the Chalmette church would not associate with you otherwise. We are surely blessed with the relationship we have with the Chalmette church.

Settling In Settling in has been a non-stop, but again, a smooth event. We have only been in New Zealand for two weeks, and we have already found a home to rent, connected utilities, secured a vehicle, obtained insurance, and purchased a cell phone. Our original plan was to stay with local Christians for several months after we arrived here, but following some advice from experienced missionaries and common sense, we realized we would not be able to feel settled into the work until we had our own place to call home. That being said, we have been staying with the very hospitable Raine family, who has made us feel at home as much as possible. We are scheduled to move into our new home on 13 July. We are looking forward to getting settled into our own home so we can get immersed into the personal work of the church. New Sisters While we were in the air, flying over here, God was adding another soul to His kingdom. Kerisitiano Peterson was contacted through the major outreach campaign held in Porirua two months ago. She was immediately receptive to the Page 1 of 4

The Big Move

The Lord blessed us with a smooth trip over here. There were no significant hang-ups or delays. All of the luggage made it without trouble. Brother and sister Antony and Jeanette Raine from the Wellington church picked us up in Auckland, NZ. From there, we made the journey to Porirua/ Wellington, stopping at various sites.

truth. On 21 June, she confessed her faith in Christ and was buried with her Lord in baptism for the remission of her sins. She continues to study Gods word and attend services on a regular basis. Pray for her new walk in Christ. I was asked to preach for the Wellington church on the second Sunday that we were here (1 July). After I preached on The Greatest Joys, sister Yvonne Ang came up to me to thank me for the encouraging lesson. Her daughter, Alicia (16 yrs. old), has been studying with Kevin Moore and thinking about becoming a Christian for about six months. She was seeking the courage to make the commitment when she heard my lesson. Yvonne believed at the time that the lesson I delivered was just what was needed. Later on that day, Alicia made the good confession and was buried with Christ in baptism. She learned first-hand that day about the joys of becoming a Christian. To God be the glory for the fruit of His Gospel and His servants! Pray also for Alicia and her new walk in Christ as she learns about the joys of remaining a Christian. If you would like to send letters or cards of encouragement to either of our new sisters in Christ, please send them to c/o Porirua church of Christ, PO Box 50560, Porirua 5240, New Zealand. Church Events The churches in Porirua and Wellington have begun an unplanned tradition. The church is comprised of Christians from many different nationalities (at least eight). In May, for Elsa, our sister from Mexico, the church threw a Cinco de Mayo celebration. In June, they did a similar thing for the Gawe family from the Philippines. In July, we will be celebrating American Independence Day on 14 July for the American Christians here. The church in New Zealand surely understands what it means to fellowship and live like a family. Contacting Us Technology has been our friend on this adventure. God has allowed humans to create devices, which build a virtual bridge between two countries that are on opposite sides of the world. We have been in almost daily contact with our friends and families for almost no cost to us by using Skype, FaceTime, email, iMessage, and our MagicJack. The only thing required for these devices and programs is a decent Internet connection.

With such a variety of ways to contact us, almost all of those who would like to contact us over here can do so with no cost to them. Please feel free to use any and all of the info below to contact us: -Skype: mosher.lance -FaceTime: mosher.lance@gmail.com -Email: mosher.lance@gmail.com; rich.kristen@gmail.com; themoshersinnewzealand@gmail.com -iMessage: mosher.lance@gmail.com -MagicJack: You can use any landline or cell phone to call our MagicJack number, which is 731-215- 7191. Whatever it costs you to call Jackson, TN, is whatever it will cost you to call us here. The only thing we ask of you when contacting us is that you find out what time it is here in New Zealand first. There is somewhere between a 16 and 21 hour time difference between us and those in the USA, depending on where they live. I have attached at the end of this newsletter a time conversion chart that I drafted up the other day. Hopefully you will find it easy to use. Family News We had our first shake-up a couple nights agoliterally! On Wednesday night, we were woken up by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale. It was almost 150 miles underground, so it wasnt so strong on the surface. No structural damage was reported by any locals, but almost everyone felt it. One person reported that the quake knocked over his television. Because of all the earthquakes in New Zealand in the past couple years, we were keenly aware of the possibility of these natural occurrences affecting us; however, we know we are in the Lords hands. Kristen has been suffering from sinus issues brought on by the change in climate. We left Tennessees summer heat to come to Wellingtons winter chill. Although it will take some time to get used to it, we are looking forward to enjoying December and January in the summer over here. We look forward to allowing this new adventure in our lives to help us grown closer and closer to God and each other. Thank you for being a part of it. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. Please pray for us as we slowly immerse ourselves further into this work. Keep serving God.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. -Philippians 1:3-7

USA TO NZ TIME CONVERSION CHART

The United States of America and New Zealand are in opposite hemispheres; therefore, they observe Daylight Savings Time in opposite months. The USA observes DST from about mid-March to the beginning of November. NZ observes DST from about the end of September to the beginning of April. When the USA is observing DST, the Central Timezone is seventeen hours behind NZ. When NZ is observing DST, the CT is nineteen hours behind NZ. This means, for most of the time, the two countries are living in different days.
