Dear Mr. Bramlett, I recently read an e-mail dated August 11, 2012 written by you. Copy of Mr. Bramletts e-mail Dear friends: Well, Mitt Romney did it again! His pick of Paul Ryan as running mate fulfills a Romney pattern. Romney has a history of picking bright, outstanding young people -- winners. I know, because he picked my oldest son to work for him at Bain, back in the 1980s, just as Jim was graduating from the Harvard Business School. He always tried to hire the best from both the Harvard and the Stanford business schools. That is one reason Bain was so successful. Jim worked for Romney for several years, then finally left Bain to accept the position of Senior Vice President of American Express, where he stayed several years until he and some friends opened their own consulting firm in New York City. Paul Ryan fits the mold. He is extremely bright, an intellectual, a man of morals and principle, and a man of achievement. Romney and Ryan are a powerful ticket. If anyone can bring this country back from the present brink of disaster, they can, with God's help. "Lord, bless, help and protect them. " Your e-mail proclaims your support for Romney & Ryan for President and Vice President this November. What is shocking to me is that a professed Christian man such as you can support a Mormon and heretic (I am referring here to Mitt Romney) to get elected president. Following your e-mail are some points I would like to make regarding Mormon beliefs. In a mere relatively short report I could not possibly express all teachings of the Mormon faith. However, I will address a sampling of what I believe to be some of the noticeable high points of their beliefs. "Gordon B. Hinckley, the former president and prophet of the Mormon Church, says (in a booklet called What of the Mormons?) that he and his co-religionists 'are no closer to Protestantism than they are to Catholicism' ."1 "In the late 1880s, says Hinckley, 'Congress passed various measures prohibiting polygamy (which Mormons allowed up to that time). When the Supreme Court declared these laws constitutional, the (Mormon) church indicated its willingness to comply. It could do nothing else in view of its basic teachings on the necessity for obedience to the law of the land. That was in 1890."2 "We believe that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things this is the ninth article of faith for Mormons and is an official statement of doctrine. Hinckley notes that Mormons maintain that the need for divine guidance is as great or greater in our modern, complex world as it was in the comparatively simple times of the Hebrews. Thus revelation continues."3 (Note: Christians believe that public revelation ended with the death of the last apostle.) "Mormonism teaches that practically no one is forever damned to hell. Aside from Satan, his spirit followers, and perhaps a half dozen notorious sinners, all people who have ever existed will share in heavenly 'glory'. Not, mind you, in the same heaven. There are, in fact, three heavens . The lowest heaven is populated by adulterers, murderers, thieves, liars and other evil-doers. These share in a glory and delight impossible to imagine. Their sins have been forgiven, and they now enjoy the eternal presence of the Holy Ghost. The middle heaven contains the souls and bodies of good non1 2 3

Mormons (I believe that would include you Jim just making an example here!) and those Mormons who were in some way deficient in their obedience to church commandments. They will glory in the presence of Jesus Christ forever. THE TOP HEAVEN IS RESERVED FOR DEVOUT MORMONS, WHO GO ON TO BECOME GODS AND RULERS OF THEIR OWN UNIVERSE. BY HAVING THEIR WIVES AND CHILDREN 'SEALED' TO THEM DURING AN EARTHLY, TEMPLE CEREMONY, THESE MEN-GODS WILL PROCREATE BILLIONS OF SPIRITS AND PLACE THEM INTO FUTURE, PHYSICAL BODIES. THESE FUTURE CHILDREN WILL THEN WORSHIP THEIR FATHER- GODS, OBEYING MORMON COMMANDMENTS (what happened to the Ten Commandments?) AND EVENTUALLY TAKE THEIR PLACE IN THE ETERNAL PROGRESSION TO THEIR OWN GODHOOD ."4 (Doesnt our Christian bible say that there will be no marriage in heaven and, thus, no procreation?) "Mormons believe in a non-Christian version of the Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost: Is a separate God from Father and Son. It is different from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is a person. The Holy Spirit is an influence from the Father and is not personal ."5 "Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives , with him. He helped to make and organize this world (doesnt Genesis say something about God the Father creating this world?). He (Adam) is Michael the Archangel, the Ancient of Days about whom holy men have written and spoken He is our Father and our God and the only God with whom we have to do. (I thought God Himself created all the angels). Every man upon the earth, professing Christian or non-professing, must hear it, and will know it sooner or later."6 This should be of interest to you Jim. "The Book of Mormon is purported to be 'a second witness to the Bible' a witness that condemns and claims the Bible is in error. 1 Nephi 13:24- 40 (from the Book of Mormon) informs us that many plain and precious things are taken from the Bible and ANYONE WHO CLAIMS THE BIBLE IS SUFFICIENT AND THEY NEED NO OTHER BOOK IS 'A FOOL '."7 "The Book of Mormon is the cornerstone of Mormon faith. It (along with other Joseph Smith volumes, Doctrines and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price), is considered to be a divine revelation superior to the Bible. In actual practice, WHENEVER THE BOOK OF MORMON CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE, THE FORMER IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE FINAL AUTHORITY ."8 "Founder (of Mormonism) Joseph Smith declared that he had a vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ. They revealed to him that all churches and creeds were an 'abomination' unto the Lord. He, Smith, was to be a prophet proclaiming a 'restored' message of the true gospel."9 There are many different definitions in terminology between Christian believers and Mormons. Ill write only one here to show one of their more bizarre teachings. "Believe God, as a resurrected physical man, is the literal father of Jesus. The Father came and had sexual relations with Mary for Jesus to be conceived on earth. They believe Matthew 1:18 is in error where the Bible says Mary 'was with child of the Holy Ghost' ."10 "Brigham Youngs (successor to Joseph Smith) espousal of polygamy gained Mormons the worst publicity. He instructed his followers, 'The only men who become gods are those who enter into polygamy '."11 "One of the thirteen tenants or doctrines of the Mormon faith is: (11) We claim the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our conscience, and allow all men the same privilege; let them worship how, where, or what they may ."12 This doctrine is also displayed on the website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Again, this report only addresses some high points of Mormon doctrine and teachings. Do we want a man who believes these heresies to become our President of the United States? P.S.
