PROIECTUL COMENIUS MULTILATERAL LANDSCAPES OF EUROPE

SCURTA PREZENTARE A PROIECTULUI LANDSCAPES OF EUROPE project aims are to encourage each partners school and local community to deal with the cultural diversity, the result of the integration in the European Community and of the globalization tendency, by working together for promoting cultural exchange and touristic values of their countries. For reaching these goals, during the first year of the project, each of the participant schools forms mixed teams (students and teachers of different objects) who set up portfolios of a a certain region gathering historical, geographical, cultural, ethnographic, folkloric and touristic data. During the project second year, the students select from the portfolios the best and the most interesting photos and films in order to carry out a virtual gallery and also a promotional brochure containing short documentary films about the chosen regions, pictures of landscapes, relevant information leading to visiting the presented places. Teachers of different subjects involved in the working teams will use the portfolios contents as didactic material for the planning of cross-curricular learning units and learning teaching evaluation methods necessary both for the demonstrative lessons they will perform and for further optional classes. During one of the project meetings in the second year, teachers and students of all the participating countries will organise a workshop entitled "Landscapes of Europe" for promoting cultural tourism in the presented regions. The final products of the project will consist of: a touristic guide (both on electronic and paper support) providing information about less known but picturesque locations, festivals, carnivals or any other kind of traditional event, best wine, best food, places worth being visited, etc. and a web site. OBIECTIVELE PROIECTULUI SI ABORDARI Operational objectives/ Subject/ Approach 1. to elaborate an efficient working strategy Subject: organizing the project work; Approach: - project meetings in every participating schools for establishing teams, topics and specific tasks; - project meetings with the partners establishing the activities and visits schedule, the written paper and the brochure format, ways and dates of getting in touch; 2. to fully participate in common educational activities for a large number of students and teachers Subject: portfolios setting up; Approach: - collecting historical, geographical, cultural, ethnographic, folkloric and touristic data, myths and legends regarding the chosen region; - elaborating written and visual presentations; 3. to actively involve in intercultural communication and language diversity Subject:- developing teachers and students communication skills in foreign languages; Approach: - project meetings; - periodical informing among partners (e-mail and monthly reports); 4. to support a general European background for education and long life learning; Subject: - a brochure issued by students (in printed and electronic version); - a touristic guide (electronic version); Approach: - project meetings and debates - teamwork, modern technology use; 5. to train teachers for achieving a high educational quality of European standards Subject: - elaborating cross-curricular learning units and its planning; Approach: - project meetings, - establishing and selecting contents, methods, strategies, teaching- learning -evaluating activities; 6. - to improve quality and to increase teachers and students mobility in different European Union countries; Subject: - project work dissemination; Approach: - web site creating, - calendar, CD/ DVD and brochure/ touristic guide distribution - organizing the workshop; PRODUSELE PROIECTULUI 1. May 2012 - the touristic guide (both on electronic and paper support) - web site DISTRIBUTIA SARCINILOR DE PROIECT Working in Landscapes of Europe project implies two kinds of tasks. Common tasks as: - gathering information about local landscapes in a portfolio; - carrying out the visual gallery with photos and with short documentary films; - publishing the promotional brochure in a printed and electronic version (CD/DVD); - organising the workshop "Landscapes of Europe" divided into two sections, one for students and one for teachers. The students will make calendars containing one or two pictures from each country and posters. The teachers will come up with ideas for promoting cultural tourism and environmental reservation. - providing teaching-learning-evaluation methods and techniques, specific activities, proper skills and functions necessary for elaborating the touristic guide. - designing the web site - organising the project meetings within each partner's borders - disseminating the project development and result Specific tasks for each partner, as follows: - Romania as a coordinator country will assure the web-site initiation (web-site construction, basic data about all the partners and the project), will coordinate and evaluate communication among the project partners - Portugal will carry out the visual gallery - Italy will assure the periodical upload of the web site - Czeck Republic will organise the "Landscapes of Europe" workshop - Turkey - will prepare part of the materials necessary for the workshop - Bulgaria will design the means and methods of evaluating the project work, inclusively the project meetings - Poland will be responsible for the promotional brochure printing - will be responsible for the project diary The project work requires from each partner the following competencies: computer abilities, methodological competencies (teaching- learning methods, strategies, evaluation techniques, types of activities, class management), linguistic, communicating and organising competencies. To ensure the active involvement of all the partners, clear responsibilities and terms for each activity will be established and checked by the project coordinator of each country within his/ her team having the task of informing in writing the partnership coordinator. Also each participating team will choose the task that best fits its interests and capacities having thus the opportunity both to promote their own ideas and culture to find out the common core and, at the same time, to provide interesting and original materials or unknown data. - October 2010 project meeting in Romania with the partners involved, for establishing the responsibilities and the deadlines; - November 2010 April 2011 collecting materials for portfolios; web-site launching - February 2011 - project meeting in Turkey to compare the gathered materials and to select those that will be included in the visual gallery; - May 2011 project meeting, in Poland the promotional brochure designing; - June 2011 coordinator annual report sent to the Agency by mail; - September December 2011 elaborating the visual gallery in electronic version and the brochure in printed version; - October 2011 project meeting in Portugal for planning the second year activities and deadlines and for disseminating the project; - January April 2012 elaborating the workshop "Landscapes of Europe", the crosscurricular learning units, the demonstrative lessons; - February 2012 project meeting in Check Republic; "Landscapes of Europe" workshop - September 2012 June 2012 developing the web site; the touristic guide publishing - May 2012 project meeting in Italy for concluding and disseminating the project work; - June 2012 partners final report of the project sent by e-mail to the coordinating country which will elaborate a synthesis for the agency;
