The new model is the 7167 Series II Multifunction Printer. The new model is based on the current model and is a drop in replacement to current model. The NCR RealPOS 7167 Series II Printer is NCRs new multifunction printer replacin g the current NCR 7167 printer. Series II includes all the proven features/func tionality of the current 7167 such as the auto-sensing RS232/USB interface, opti onal two color print, paper low and paper out sensors, and drop in paper loading along with new functions being introduced: Faster thermal print speeds up to 90 lines per second, 300mm per second or 12 in ches per second. Additional Flash ROM Memory increase. No change in user defined area i.e. logo, macro, user defined font, etc. MICR Read Rate Enhancement Unicode font support GS1 Barcode Support and QR Barcode Support USB HID/Printer Class support Thermal Head failure detection High Speed line synchronized printing Reduction in Power Consumption (i.e. power off and standby mode options) Lean Receipt Utility Detailed information can be found in the NCR RealPOS 7167 Series II Printer Owne r s Guide (B005-0000-2102) and Service Manual (B005-0000-2103) available online via the Information Products Publishing web site at www.info.ncr.com. No application change is required for same functionality. Series II offers additional functionality at the same price. There is no downsi de to customers migrating from Release 1 to Series II. All customers should plan a thorough review of the documentation and testing of the printer in their application environment before any assumptions are made wit h respect to integration effort. Fiscal countries should provide a Series II model to their Fiscal Integrators as soon as possible. If additional information is required, please notify the Pri nter Solution Manager. For most customers, no incremental development will be required and the printer may be deployed as a drop-in replacement for the existing 7167 Release 1.0. No major physical changes have been made to the R1 chassis.: - The depth and height difference between R1 and Series II is due to the new com mon design of the top Receipt Cover, The cover extends toward rear. - Base remains the same, so the 7167 Series II is compatible with the terminal i ntegration trays. -
