Call of the Shofar September 2012

Today begins the corporate 40 day fast and these are my beginning insights as I partner with the Lord to see 2 Chronicles 7:14 realized...I believe this is a call to the entire body of Christ and these are war room privileges for the generals to take and delegate assignments within the army from the colonels to the foot soldiers as they have capacity to fulfill without overwhelming them lest they turn back. Every leader knows his people accordingly... The Call: Saturday evening at fellowship, a beautiful word and prayer was shared freeing captive believers from "the box" in which they were unwittingly imprisoned. As the Lord often does, I was fully listening while He was speaking to me simultaneously. I saw a type of Jesus in a white robe with a talith (prayer shawl) over his head and shoulders with blue trim. He was blowing a shofar and I saw chains being broken in the spirit as our local body of believers came into agreement with the prayer of freeing captives. Again, simultaneously moving as in parallel realms within the service I was immediately taken by the spirit to 2 Timothy 2:8 & 9 where Paul speaks of his chains for the gospel's sake, but declares that the "word of God is not chained". Immediately, I was fast forwarded to Hebrews 4:12, where we know the word of God is livng and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword...dividing...and nothing is hidden and we will give account. (Here was the cumulative call to knowing "the word is not chained and will have its way personally before it is sent outwardly) Step One: Call of the Lord to humility and openness and vulnerability before Him first and foremost in His word and prayer with ears to hear what the spirit is saying. Then...a flash back to 2 Timothy 2: 1-13 The Charge, Encouragement, and the Outcome of Engagement or Withdrawal: "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7 Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things. Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. Step Two: From the 2 Tim 2 scripture we see that leaders delegate, train, and release while commanding to: be strong in grace, commit these things you've been taught to faithful men, endure hardship as a good soldier, consider what I say, and remember...Jesus was raised from the dead and the word of God is not chained.

A soldier wears his full spiritual armor listed in Ephesians 6 that he might stand against the wiles of the enemy and understands his battle is not against flesh and blood. Wiles are strategic, well thought out battle plans. The enemy has been strategically planning this battle for thousands of years. Turn on the news and you will see. However, the Lord also has a strategy and has given us the keys of the kingdom in binding and loosing. Spiritual warfare must ensue to the point of tearing down strongholds and principalities. Devils must be cast out and the kingdom loosed to reign as the Lord intendswe must take back the kingdom and bring advancement for the glory of the Lord! The harvest is ready and workers are fewwe must pray in the workers for the end-time harvest! Modes of Warfare Prayer: Ephesians 6 continues in verse 17, commanding us to "...take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end..." Romans 8:26-28 "...the spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts, knows what the mind of the spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." 1 Corinthians 13:1 tells us that when we pray in tongues we are speaking the language of angels which they understand. Apostle Paul prayed in tongues more than anyone and received revelation that probably made the other apostles scratch their heads. Consequently, he wrote the majority of the New Testament. Praying in tongues builds the edifice to house the revelation you do not yet understand. Praying in tongues also enables you to locate the anointing you are missing or to attract the prayer that is not yet present. Praying in tongues is non-negotiable. Groaning and travailing shapes and shifts the environment the very moment you go there. And uncommon utterance speaks forth the wisdom of God. Step Three: We boldly pray in the Spirit. We pray in tongues and we pray in understanding until we are left with groanings and travailings. We bind and loose and declare and decree knowing Holy Spirit ever helps us in our weakness. I'm reminded of the movie Windtalkers with Nicolas Cage. The setting was WWII, and our army's use of Navajo soldiers' language was used as code for communication within the army. (In any battle, the enemy first tries to break down communication...it began in the garden and continues today). The Navajo soldiers became heroes and were protected at every cost during the war because only they could relay strategic communication via radio between commanders at logistical posts in code. This strategy kept the enemy in the dark because the code could not be broken and is historically documented as one major reason the war was won. (Partnering with the Lord always brings strategy)! Likewise, when we pray in tongues...the code can't be broken. We're submitting ourselves in the spirit and praying and warring accordingly. Isaiah tells us that the Word of God goes forth for that which He sends it and doesn't come back to Him void. In other words, the Word of God is NOT chained, it performs as a type of "shock and awe" as we witnessed during Desert Storm, against the enemy accomplishing fully the orders of the Lord. Angels hearken to the word of the

Lord...they obey. When we pray, then, in the spirit, we are praying the will and the word of the Lord and angels bring it fully to pass.

Objective: "Pray that I will give you leaders such that it will be consistent with My glory to give you victory." While we know our fast begins personally, the consensus is we're corporately coming together according to 2 Chronicles 7:14 for our nation and also Israel for the glory of God and the furtherance of His kingdom and His will to be done in the earth. We pray to be godly leaders over our own lives and all we've been entrusted with, we pray for God called leaders to arise and we bind and rebuke every hindering spirit while we loose favor, timing, and circumstance to bring godly leaders forward. Ecclesiastes tells us there is nothing new under the sun and so once again, I'm reminded of strategy from WWII. German commander, Rommel, was in N. Africa making great headway so that he was nicknamed "the desert fox". Derek Prince saw that the enemy commander was more disciplined, honorable and humane than his own English commanders as he ignored Hitler's order to put Jewish soldiers to death and he treated prisoners of war humanely. So, Prince became burdened to pray as more and more battles were lost. Here the Lord gave him this prayer, "Pray that I will give you leaders such that it will be consistent with My glory to give you victory." As a result of prayer, the failing general in charge was to be replaced. The newly appointed general was shot and killed enroute to his new post, thus forcing Churchill to appoint yet another general. Brought to mind, (by the Lord) was Bernard Montgomery, son of an evangelical Episcopalian pastor who was disciplined and had high significance and certainty needs (part of his God shape inspiring him to make a significant impact in the world and to not tolerate disorder or insubordination). Therefore, he established the discipline of prayer with his leaders for victory and banned the use of alcohol and profanity amongst his officers. Suddenly, morale changed and the officers were commanded to come up with a clear objective with a definite purpose. Looking at their resources and vantage points vs those of Rommel a "shock and awe" strategy was devised and executed. The Lord supernaturally removed two leaders and appointed a godly one to see His will completed and His means was prayer! For a "shock and awe" execution it takes a power ratio of 5:1. The Christian's arsenal not only includes his armor, but also prayer, binding, loosing, worship, fruits and gifts of the spirit, tithing, agreement, etc... and, it only takes 1% of the population as the book of Judges showed us with Gideon's battle and even our own Revolutionary war. We also know the exponential power of 1 puts 1,000 to flight/2 puts 10,000 so 10 puts a trillion to flight! Ten believers can put a trillion devils to flight! God multiplies while the enemy tries to divides us with his demonic strategy. However, the Lord's arm is not short...He can win by many or by few! He just needs men to join Him. As Joshua was told when he asked the commander of the Lord's army which side he was on, the reply was that he was on the Lord's side. Likewise, we must not have an agenda...this is not about what seems right in our own eyes but what is just and holy and true before the Lord.

Step 4: Choose this day whom you will serve...the Lord repeats this again and again in various ways throughout scripture.

We have two ungodly men representing our divided nation running for president. Both oppose the kingdom of God and are building and funding their own kingdoms with silver tongues. Obama is not the problem and Romney is not the savior. (I was raised Mormon and can assure you it is a demonic cult wearing a fascade). The word of God is not chained and we are not "held captive in a box" by a ballot with two names on it. As Prince prayed, so are we to pray that the Lord remove ungodly leaders and "give us leaders such that it will be consistent with His glory to give us victory." The enemy's job is to deceive and to bring in a counterfeit. The people wanted Saul for a king and so they were given what they wanted to their very detriment. Likewise, Christians see Romney as an answer when the Lord may have a godly Davidic type leader in the wings. We must take a stand against ungodliness as Elijah did before Ahab and Jezebel. Our stand, however, is largely in the spirit by warfare prayer and fasting. Scripture tells us that the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. It is high time we became violent in the spirit against evil. I believe we are at a dividing line and the Lord is declaring for us to choose whom it is we will serve. It's high time we took the kingdom back through violent warfare prayer bringing down strongholds and destroying principalities! The Book of Judges reveals in several places that when the children cried out then the Lord would send them a deliverer. It's time we once again had godly deliverers like our founding fathers that can rebuild our foundations on the rock of the Lord Jesus Christ. And it's time to put godly uncompromising leaders in our pulpits once again across the nation. For this, I fast and pray that the Lord might be glorified and prisoners set free for the advancement of the kingdom and the building of His people. The writing is on the wall...Daniel's interpretation was that God had numbered the kingdom, found it lacking in godliness when weighed in the balance and would be divided. Our nation is clearly divided and scripture again tells us a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. No longer can we rely on our own understanding...we are being weighed on the balancing scales...which side will tip the balance? We must seek the Lord as never before! If we are on His side...we are assured He is on ours and will fight on our behalf. We are truly His beloved children, called to be ambassadors and joint heirs with our Lord Jesus! Rejoice, again I say rejoice for our redemption draweth nigh! What a privilege we have as children of God!
