LJMBA Global / Country Study Report Guidelines

The student shall study and prepare a Global / Country Report in Semester III and Semester IV. They are required to prepare a project report on Country Analysis in Semester III and Report on selected Industry/Company/Product on semester IV. The objective is to enable the student learn about at least ONE Country, how to do business / export / import with / within that country, and prepare and submit a Global / Country Report by end of Semester IV as a part of MBA curricula. Objectives: To enable students to obtain an understanding of specific country contexts that affect business decisions. To analyse the opportunities for the Gujarat (India) based businesses or new ventures for export, import, investment, joint ventures, collaborations and partnerships To help students acquire various skills and disciplines required to become a successful entrepreneur in global countries.

Process of Study: III Semester The students are required to work in a group of 6 students; the list of the groups is available with Ms. Disha Mehta. Students are instructed to take a note of their group members, group Guide and GCSR Co-coordinator of the class. They need to select one group leader from each group. They will have to select one aspect (1 Demographic Profile 2 General Economic & Industries overviews 3 General overview of Trade and Commerce 4 Overview of Different economic sectors of selected country 5 Legal aspects of trade in that country 6 Present Trade Relations of India / Gujarat with that country 7 Import- Export 8 Business Volume of different products, Investment etc. Sector / Industry /Company Analysis 9 PESTEL Analysis 10 SWOT Analysis) for the study of the chosen country. All the groups are instructed to give the name of group leader and the chosen aspect to Ms. Disha Mehta latest by 25th August 2012. The allocation of aspects would be on first come basis. Students are required to prepare final project report on the selected aspect about 25-30 pages latest by 3rd October 2012. Once the aspect-wise individual project report gets approved by the class GCR Co-coordinator, all the groups are instructed to compile the individual project reports in one and will have to submit one hard copy of class wise country report (120-150 Pages) and individual reports (25-30 Pages) to the GCSR Coordinator

(Dr. Shubhra) latest by 2nd November 2012. Detailed Guidelines will be available on GTU website. Viva-voce will be conducted as per GTU schedule on the overall class wise report as well as their aspect- wise individual report. Any delay in submission will lead to monetary penalties, thus students are required to follow the guidelines. Guidelines for Report Writing: As per GTU Guidelines Forth Semester Students need to work on the same group as mentioned in third semester. Students are required to identify and select any one Industry/ company/ services (on which they can study the relationship of the selected country with India) latest by 2nd November 2012. The purpose of the report comprises of the business opportunity in the selected country for India and Gujarat. Students are required to prepare either a case study or research report on the selected Industry/ company/ services and submit it to the GCSR guide latest by 2nd Feb. 2013 ( they can refer last year reports also). Once their individual group reports gets approved by their respective guide (aspect-wise guide in III semester), the students are instructed to compile the III semester and IV semester report into one compiled report of the class and with the help of GCSR Co-coordinator. The compiled report should have 10-15 pages of III Semester Report, 10-15 pages of each group report (Industry/ company/ services chapter- wise) and 10-15 pages conclusion (conclusion of each group report). They must submit their Industry/ company/ services report (50-60 pages) and one class-wise GCSR (120-150 Pages) latest by 31st march 2013. Viva-voce will be conducted as per GTU schedule on the overall class wise report as well as their aspect- wise individual report.
