Call for Application CBO Support Grant The ISEAN-Hivos program is now accepting the next round of grant proposals for the CBO Support Grant for the period October to December 2012. The CBO Support Grant is a small grant that aims to help Community Based Organizations of gay men, men who have sex with men, and transgenders to conduct activities that contribute to the national response to the HIV epidemic affecting MSM and TGs. The CBO Support Grant CANNOT fund direct HIV services (for example, peer education, outreach, condom distribution, voluntary counseling and testing) but it can support advocacies that promote access to HIV services and activities or initiatives that aim to reduce stigma and discrimination against MSM and TGs. Aside from advocacy, the CBO Support Grant may fund organizational activities and research related to HIV and the MSM and TG community. Eligibility: MSM and TG CBOs that are registered or government accredited (i.e. SEC, LGU, School, Barangay) as non-profit organizations implementing programs/projects/activities that address the issues and concerns of males having sex with males, transgenders and HIV are eligible to apply for the CBO Support Grant. Application Requirements: The following documents, together with a cover letter, must be submitted to ensure that qualified CBOs are able to apply for the initial funding. 1. Copy of Registration / Accreditation Certificates 2. Organizational Profile (Template to be provided) 3. List of Partners (government, NGO, private)

4. Two (2) recommendation letters from local partners 5. Letter certifying that there is no legal or administrative case pending in court against the organization or its key officers 6. 3-page Proposal Timeframe: The proposal and the requirements must be sent on or before October 17, 2012. The proposed activity/activities must be implemented from October to December 2012. Example of activities eligible for support: 1. Advocacy Activities: a. Milestone advocacy events such AIDS Candlelight Memorial (ACM), World AIDS Day (WAD), Pride Marches and similar activities b. Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) fora, workshops and trainings c. Engagement with Local Stakeholders (i.e. Local AIDS Council, Local Health Board, local governments, local officials), such as dialogues, fora, and workshops 2. Organization Development Activities: a. Strategic Planning b. Compliance to Regulations (i.e. Processing of documents for registration or accreditation of the organization, coordination with local authorities) c. Monitoring and Evaluation activities 3. Research on the MSM or TG community: a. Baseline Studies b. Vulnerability and Risk Mapping c. Good Practices on interventions for the MSM and TG Community

Proposal Format: The proposal should not exceed three pages. It should contain the following: A. B. C. D. E. F. Title of the Project Implementing Organization / Contact Person / Address Rationale / Background of the Grant-supported Activity Objectives and Expected Results Key Activities / Critical Steps Budget (include counterpart contributions)

Submission Procedure: Interested applicants should submit the required documents via email to tlfmanila@gmail.com on or before 17 OCTOBER 2012 (Wednesday), with a cover letter addressed to the Executive Director of TLF SHARE Collective.
