VOLUME 1 , ISSUE 30 Wednesday Nights At Northside: Join us for a great time of fellowship at our Wednesday evening meals (5:00 6:00pm). Catered by Lizards Thicket, the cost will be $6.00 for Adults and $3.00 for children (under 10). The menu (10/10): baked ham or fried chicken tenders (choice of 1 meat), buttered carrots, potato salad, corn bread, rolls and tea. Please RSVP for the meal by noon on Tuesdays. Please call 796-9786 or email postmaster@northsidebaptist. org with your name and number attending. To be cost effective, each week we order ONLY the number of meals reserved by you. If your name is not on the reservation list - a meal will not be available for you that evening. Please keep in mind that we order the meals on Tuesdays at noon so please RSVP before that time. After the meal, all adults will meet in the Worship Center for a time of Corporate Prayer led by Pastor Rocky (6:00-6:30pm) followed by Corporate Teaching (6:30-7:30pm). Mens and ladies discipleship groups and adult choir practice will run 6:30-8:00 pm. All preschool, children and student activities will run 6:008:00 pm. Thanksgiving Baskets We will distribute Thanksgiving Baskets again this year to those in our community who are not able to provide their family a Thanksgiving meal. Next week there will be an envelope in your LIFE Group for contributions to help purchase food for the baskets. Last day to contribute will be Sunday, November 11. LIFT HIGH High School Fall Retreat The LIFT HIGH retreat will be hosted by the Lexington YMCA! The cost is $70 per person with a $25 deposit. The high retreat will be October 19-21 with the deposit due today! This will be an incredible time! Do not miss it! OCTOBER 7, 2012 FINDING FREEDOM FOR MEN - The Pursuit of Purity Wednesday Evenings All studies reveal that the #1 temptation men struggle with is in the area of moral purity. Are you desperate for freedom from the bondage of sexual temptation and sin? Or, do you have a genuine desire to grow and to be accountable to other men in the pursuit of moral purity? If so, this group is where you belong! Join us as we begin our journey in the Pursuit of Purity. We meet in Room 133 from 6:30 to 8pm. Meadow Glen Elementary School is looking for mentors. A mentor is a caring adult who is willing to be a good listener and friend to a student in need of extra attention. The commitment is one hour per week for the school year. Mentors can visit in the morning before school (7:00-7:45) or during the students lunch and recess time. Northside Parking Team Assistants Needed Northside desires to make a positive first impression by providing a team of enthusiastic volunteers that welcome our members and guests. One way we do this is by helping to provide efficient traffic flow as folks arrive and exit. This is an area that has a GREAT need for additional volunteers. Cost: $6.00 Quest for the Tomb Fall Festival Northside will be hosting the Quest for the Tomb Fall Festival for children up to 5th grade on October 31 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at 105 Ginny Lane (Northsides recreation fields). We are in need of volunteers to be our Adventure Guides to help take kids to the gospel on Halloween night!
