i, my name is Ashley Lee and I am currently a ninth grader attending an international school in Seoul, Korea. I aim to obtain a position as a health information technician using my determination, reasoning, and organizational skills to analyze data for medical use. I will carry out my career plan in order to achieve my goals. University I will be attending a college in the United States. The school will be a medium sized university, which has an emphasis on health technology. I would like to major in health information technology, and minor in science. First Job and Internship Once I complete majoring health information technology, I would like to experience an internship in medical companies that would provide me with clinical practice and some sort of pay. Immediately afterwards, I want to start with a job as a health information technician who works in a hospital or in a physicians office. I want to earn experience on how to apply my knowledge of health information technology in organizing and managing health information data using electronic systems in an actual working environment.

I want to start getting the hang of using classification systems to code and categorize patient information for databases. I want to be able to maintain medical and treatment histories for patients. Peak of Career Since I have acquired enough experience, Id love to be able to continue working as a health information technician. I want to be familiar with using medical technology and continue increasing my knowledge on categorizing data until the end of my career. In the end, I hope to have applied my knowledge in helping medical professionals. Overall, I want to have enjoyed my job as a health information technician.
