More fundraising ideas from Ohio
If you are thinking about fundraising for The Eliminate Project, here are some ideas to start with. These ideas have been used for other projects in addition to The Eliminate Project. Be creative and develop some of your own! 1. Have projects that center around Mothers or Fathers Day. It could be a Mothers Day dinner or baby shower and for the gentlemen, how about a card party or a sporting event. 2. Remember the $2 cost for the set of three immunizations for The Eliminate Project. Ask your club members to put aside $2 every other day. Collect this quarterly, give awards for the highest donor, make it a fun event. In this way, you will collect about $300 per member per year without having to do anything else. When you establish a new fund raising project try to make it something that can continue after The Eliminate Project. That way you will have additional funds for other community projects.

The Guinea-Conakry experience

The site visit delegation returned from GuineaConakry last week with lots of stories and photos of their experience. Some have already shared the details of their trip on The Eliminate Project blog; each one full of passion as they describe the experience. Trips like these are life-changing for most of the delegates because it is a chance to witness how funds raised for The Eliminate Project will save lives in countries like GuineaConakry. Delegates say they were surprised to see how much the women in these remote villages knew about maternal and neonatal tetanus. Education efforts have been effective in these areas, which is essential for sustainability. Read more about the site visit and look for their photos on Facebook and Twitter. ELLENS TIP OF THE WEEK

Encourage District Coordinators to share the monthly giving report with the Governor and Governor-elect, as well as their Multi -Division Coordinators and Division Coordinators. It will be helpful to these recipients if you add a cover note explaining significant figures and progress items, as well as highlight areas where improvement is needed.
