Dear Instal-Life Christian TV Viewers, The Optus D2 satellite is going through an upgrade.

This satellite carries your Christian TV Channels. The main CHANGE affecting your Christian TV channels is the frequency changes. This change will begin on 30th July. Between the 30th July and the 23rd August you need to follow the instructions on the reverse. Both the OLD and the NEW frequencies will work, however after the 23rd August only the NEW frequencies will work unless changeover is extended. As you do the steps on the reverse, ensure you follow the channel names clearly, paying extra attention to the asterisk (*) beside some of the Christian Channels. If you lose any channels in the process, please repeat the process over the page before contacting Instal-Life.

ATTENTION:
YOU MUST RESCAN YOUR SET TOP BOX IN ORDER TO KEEP WATCHING CHRISTIAN TV
You MUST do one of two things BEFORE 23rd August OR when you lose your Channels. (After the 23rd August) Turn your SET TOP BOX OFF at the wall, wait 10 seconds, then turn it ON again. Check if You have GOD TV* as a channel, if so go to STEP C overleaf to order all your channels. If you cannot see God TV* on your channel list; you MUST: DELETE ALL Channels, RESCAN and RE-ORDER all the channels on your set top box. Follow the FULL instructions for your set top box model on the reverse side of this letter! If you cannot rescan the set top box yourself, the Instal-Life team are happy to help you over the phone if/when possible. If you are a GOD TV Angel, or on the Instal-Life Mission Plan then the Instal-Life team will try to spend additional time on the phone with you to help, if required. Please keep in mind each rescan takes up to 30 minutes! PLEASE DO NOT automatically ring Instal-Life for instructions, you will be guided back to this letter. We currently have thousands of customers and cannot possibly help you all on the 23rd August. Please TRY to do it yourself; it really is easy once you try. If you are hesitant, ask a friend, relative or youngster to help you. We obviously would like to help those who are in absolute distress, but note, your monthly contributions do not cover this situation, as there is nothing technically wrong with your equipment. We are doing our best to supply you with easy to follow instructions. If a technician is required there will be a fee. PLEASE DO NOT continue to play with your menu once you have completed the follow instructions. There are too many customers and too many things that could go wrong on this day. Please follow each step carefully. If you stick to the instructions you will have Christian TV again on the 23rd and we will not have hundreds of families calling in distress. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTAL-LIFE MT2414 / ST GOLD SET TOP BOXES

(A) DELETING THE PRE-PROGRAMMED CHANNELS
STEP 1: Using the Remote Control press the Menu button. Push the Down Arrow until the User Preference is highlighted, press OK. STEP 2: Press the Down Arrow until Edit Channel is highlighted. Press the OK button. Then enter the password digits 0000 using the Remote Control. (If 0000 does not work; try 3737, 8899 or 4978) STEP 3: If there is no tick next to delete on the bottom left hand side of your screen: Press the left arrow to move the highlight to Delete. Push the OK button so a Tick appears next to 'Delete'. STEP 4: Push the OK button so that an X appears next to the channel. Then press the down arrow followed by OK. Please repeat so that ALL channels have a X next to them. (DO NOT press OK at the end here, go to step 5) STEP 5: Once all channels have an X next to them, press the button, which is located under the number 9. NOTE: The are likely to be more than 10 channels so keep going down until ALL channels have an X. STEP 6: Repeat STEP 4 and now delete all the Radio Channels STEP 7: Press the EXIT button, then press OK to save changes. STEP 8: You will return to the User Preference menu automatically. Push EXIT once again until in the main menu.

(B) RE-SCANNING THE CORRECT FREQUENCY AND CHANNELS

STEP 1: The Main Menu screen appears with User Preferences highlighted. (Or on the remote control press Menu button to get to menu) STEP 2: Use the Up Arrow so that installation is highlighted then press OK. Enter the digits 0000 using the Remote Control. (If 0000 does not work; try 3737, 8899 or 4978) STEP 3: Installation Menu appears, then using the down key on Remote Control scroll down and highlight Scan Transponder, press OK. STEP 4: Scan Transponder menu appears . Please check that the DISH is set to Optus D2 or Optus B3, if it is not selected press the right arrow across till the right hand menu is selected and scroll through the menu until you nd Optus D2 or Optus B3 once highlighted in yellow press the OK button. After this or if it is already highlighted: Using down key scroll to Frequency. Using the Remote Control, enter the numbers 12706. STEP 5: Using the down key, scroll down to Polarity. Change it to Vertical using the right arrow keys on the Remote Control. STEP 6: Scroll down to Symbol Rate and enter the digits 22500. STEP 7: Next scroll down to Code Rate and change it to 3/4 using the right arrow keys on the Remote Control. STEP 8: Next scroll down to Scan Mode and change it to Free Channel using the right arrow keys on the Remote Control. STEP 9: Next scroll down to Network Search and change it to Enable using the right arrow keys on the Remote Control. STEP 10: Press OK on the remote control to start scanning. The screen will show the Scanning Menu and channels will appear. STEP 11: A window will appear asking you to save. Press OK on the remote control when Yes option is highlighted. STEP 12: Go back to Step 4 and enter the frequency = 12644, polarity = Horizontal. Press OK and save STEP 13: Go back to Step 4 and enter the frequency = 12608, Press OK and save. STEP 14: Press exit button 3 times until picture appears. NOTE: you may need to press the music button under the channel 9 to go to TV. NOTE: If your rescan did NOT work, you may need to change your LNB frequency by: selecting Dish Set Up, then LNB Type then select Single User then enter 10700 and press Exit and save changes. Then start back at Step 1 again. If that does not work try again with 11300.

(C) ORDERING THE CHANNELS

STEP 1: Push the MENU button then push the down arrow until User Preference is highlighted, then press OK. STEP 2: Press the down arrow until Edit Channel is highlighted, then enter same password (As above) STEP 3: Press left arrow. Delete will be highlighted, press down arrow to highlight MOVE. Push OK so tick appears. STEP 4: Press right arrow to move the highlight to the list of channels. (Press , under number 9 to change to TV list if required.) STEP 5: ONLY use the up arrow and/or down arrow to nd 'GOD Australia'. (Ensure you select the one with an asterisk). Once highlighted push the OK button so that 2 little arrows appear next to the channel. Then press the up arrow and/or down arrow to move to channel number 0001, then press the OK button to drop in that location. STEP 6: Repeat STEP 5 for the following channels in this order:

STEP 7: Once TV channels are all ordered, press the button under the number 9 on the remote. STEP 8: Proceed to order the 3 Christian radio channels by following STEPS 3, 4, 6 & 6, but for the radio stations. STEP 9: Once the radio stations are ordered, press the under the number 9. STEP 10: Press the EXIT button, save changes by pressing the OK button when YES is highlighted. STEP 11: Press the EXIT button (3) three times until your picture appears.
