- From 1988 till 1995 I worked as a demonstrator in the Dept. of English,
Faculty of Education, Assiut University.
- From 1996 till 1998 I worked as a demonstrator in the Dept. of English,
Faculty of Arts, Assiut University.
- From 1999 till 2001 I worked as an assistant lecturer in the Dept. of
English, Faculty of Arts, Assiut University.
- From May 2001 till February 2003 I was a visiting scholar in the Dept.
of English, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA.
- From August 2003 to date I have been working as a lecturer in
linguistics in the Dept. of English, Faculty of Arts, Assiut University.
- I taught "Preparation for the TOEFL" courses to Assiut University M.A.
and Ph.D. students and ESP at Assiut University English Language
Center.
- I worked for Assiut University Translation Center and an editor for one
year.
- I did a lot of translation work for Education Reform Program (ERP) in
Egypt, Academy for Educational Development (AED) for over two three
years.
- I have over twenty years' experience in the field of English-Arabic and
Arabic-English translation.
- I'm now seconded to teach linguistics, translation and essay writing at
the Higher Institute for Specific Studies, Haram, Giza, Egypt.
- I'm also seconded to teach phonetics, linguistics, and simultaneous
translation at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, 6th October
University, Egypt.
