LATEST NEWS ON THE BURRAGORANG UFO BASE.

By Rex Gilroy Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010. Activity appears to be hotting up lately in the Burragorang Valley base area. The central deep gully wherein lies three large camouflaged flight entrances for saucer shaped craft have now been joined by at least three more in another deep gully on its south side, as from observations made by the Gilroys and other members of Blue Mountains UFO Research Club. On a recent Skywatch at Kings Tableland, south of Wentworth Falls two silver-glowing craft were observed from McMahons Lookout to fly up from the first gully, followed by three from the second [southern] gully, quickly vanishing into dense overhead cloud cover.

During another recent Saturday night Skywatch from this Lookout myself and Mihaela Hilla observed a vehicle moving along an unlisted road in the valley which has been constructed to wind in and out of deep, densely-wooded gullies. Back in 2009 on the night of Friday 17th April, Heather and I, together with William Johnson, Kim and Ian Tracton observed glowing underwater saucer craft lined in a row of three on the north side of the north arm of Lake Burragorang, directly below the Lookout. Recently two more of these glowing underwater craft were observed by Mihaela and I at the same location. I recall reports over the years of saucer-shaped UFOs being seen by people to emerge from the lake waters near Warragamba Dam and other locations of this lake in both day and night incidents, to fly off in whatever directions. During November 2009 a Mr John Illingsworth and two other campers from Sydney claimed to have watched a small unit of American soldiers armed with automatic rifles, apparently on patrol along a narrow track while the campers hid among bushes on an overhead clifftop. The soldiers seemed to vanish into a wooded gully. John and his friends later followed the track only to come to a cyclone wire fence and a locked gate. When they spotted a hidden camera on a tree just inside the fence they decided to leave the area quickly. ***** There have been daytime sightings by people living on the eastern fringe of the Wollondilly Valley,. An equally vast expanse just south of Burragorang over recent months, while others have reported seeing strange lights coming from the base of a cliff to the north of Wollondilly Lookout, which lies on the south side of the valley. As it is certain that an equally large underground complex to that of Burragorang exists beneath Wollondilly it is little wonder that people are being discouraged from entering that valley by the authorities, and both Australian and American military personnel have been claimed sighted walking or driving along isolated, unlisted dirt roads deep in the interior by campers who have defied the authorities to go camping out there. UFOs have in recent months been claimed seen either flying out of, or hovering high over Wollondilly Valley and on the night of January 10th 2010 a man and woman observed a red-orange glowing craft to descend from cloud cover into the valley, disappearing into a gully towards the north side of the valley from where a white glow appeared, as if a camouflaged entrance had opened for the descending craft. As it vanished behind the gully the glow faded. ***** A full account of the Blue Mountains underground bases can be found in the Gilroys book Blue Mountains Triangle-Secret underground Australian/American Bases and the ET Connection [URU Publications 2006]. A sequel now in the preparation stage will have further startling disclosures to reveal on the activities within these underland city and town-size communities. The Blue Mountains bases are all interconnected by road and rain tunnels, extending from the Wollondilly through the Burragorang to the Wollemi complexes, which in turn extend to underwater bases north of Newcastle and south of Wollongong and west to other underground centres. UFOs have been seen to enter or emerge from these land and sea bases for some years now so that these gigantic operations are not new. The Gilroys next book will disclose many new surprises and reasons for these bases, which contain thousands of people scientists, military, workers etc and their families and which are found elsewhere throughout the free world. In 2011 the authors plan to investigate bases in New Zealand. Meanwhile we will be publishing a book on Queensland underground bases. Indeed, Australia seems to have been specially chosen to have bases which rival the USA in size and population. On Wednesday 9th June 2010, Heather and I accompanied by our Brisbane [Queensland] assistant, Geoff Holland, spent a day in the Wollemi National Park on other research matters, when on two occasions, Australian soldiers dressed in camouflage uniforms drove past us on an isolated dirt road. There is no military facility out there, but there is of course a vehicle entrance to an underground complex [see Blue Mountains Triangle]. Bad weather and increasing cold conditions forced us to leave for home, but it is not the first time that we have seen military vehicles moving about on these little know back roads, deep in the wilderness that lies east of Lithgow. While out there we observed two isolated dirt tracks good only for four wheel drive vehicles closed to public access due to logging operations read the signs erected at the entrances. Yet this is a National Park and [with the exceptions of pine forests elsewhere] logging of the dense gum forests is not permitted, and these roads extend deep into gum country. However, as the particular region concerned lies in the vicinity of a known top secret underground base entrance this is no surprise to us. The Wollemi, from the fringe of the Hunter/Goulburn Rivers, through the Burragorang and Wollondilly southward to the end of the mountainous country just north of Goulburn, is all part of the Greater Blue Mountains National Park. It contains vast, often inaccessible territory wherein any top secret military activity could be carried on unknown and unhindered by the outside world, and that includes underground advanced space travel technology research! -0-

DAYTIME SAUCER SIGHTING OVER NARROW NECK PLATEAU.

By Rex Gilroy Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010. On Sunday 13th June 2010 I was walking my dog Andy out to Narrow Neck Plateau.. We had just begun walking down Glen Raphael Drive from Cliff Drive when, having looked at my watch to see what the time was [it was 1.20pm], I chanced to look across Jamieson Valley to the first arm of Narrow Neck in time to see a bright silver saucer-shaped craft shoot silently up from Burragorang Valley behind Mt Solitary, to then fly across behind the first arm of the Neck where Cedar Valley is situated, then fly over the fire tower situated half way out the second arm of the plateau, before disappearing in the direction of the north-west. From where I saw it, the UFO appeared small, being about 12 metres in diameter. Its top and underside were pointed. If there were any windows I could not see them from the distance, nor did the crafts speed permit me to make any other observations. From the angle at which it rose from Burragorang Valley it appeared to have emerged from an opening in the underground base. -0-

The UFO emerged from the valley behind Mt Solitary to gradually gain height, disappearing momentarily behind the first arm of the Neck then reappear as it gained height to fly over the fire tower just visible on the second arm of Narrow Neck. The X marks the position of the tower beyond the first arm not visible in the photo. The craft continued at great speed out of sight to the north-west. Photo copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

UFO SPOTTED OVER EASTERN AUSTRALIA

Updated Sun Jun 6, 2010 5:01am AEST

A spiral of light is seen in the sky above the Gold Coast around 5:50am on June 5, 2010. (User submitted: Henry Leef)

A UFO moves across Brisbane's skyline as the sun is rising on on June 5, 2010. Destin Sparks of Wavell Heights spotted the UFO from Mt Coottha about 5:50am AEST. (User submitted: Destin Sparks )

An astronomer says a bright spiralling light spotted in the sky by people across eastern Australia was probably a satellite, space junk or a rocket. The UFO was seen moving through the sky just before Saturday's sunrise in New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT. ABC News Online has received dozens of emails, pictures and videos from those who claim to have witnessed the huge white light. Some described it as a "lollipop-type swirl". Others say it hovered for a while before gradually moving in an eastern direction until it was out of sight. Those who saw the object say photos do not reflect how large it actually was. Geoffrey Whyatt from the Sydney Observatory says it was probably a satellite, space junk or a rocket. "The fact that you've got the rotation, the spiral effect, is very reminiscent of the much widely reported sightings from Norway and Russia last year, which both turned out to be a Bulava missile which was being adjusted in its orbit," he said. "So possibly a rocket, I would say, having some sort of gyroscopic stability rocket fired on its side." Mr Whyatt says it is a rare phenomenon. "The first I saw of the spirals was last year when they were reported in Norway and then a few days later in Russia," he said. "The Norway one was very spectacular because of its symmetrical appearance. "But the one this morning and the one in Russia bear a striking similarity of being the same effects from a rocket trying to be controlled or adjusted." A privately-owned rocket launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida on its first test flight is believed to be responsible. But Doug Moffett from UFO Research NSW says he has a few problems with this theory. "Firstly, the time of the launch was 18.45 GMT, which translates to 4.45am EST, the duration of the flight was 9 minutes 38 seconds - this is a full hour before the reported sightings," he said. "Secondly, where was the glow from the boosters or from the friction created by the craft moving through the atmosphere, where was the tail of the rocket? "Thirdly, why would anyone launch a rocket on a maiden test flight with a trajectory that would take it over the most heavily populated parts of Australia? "And how big must this rocket have been to be seen so clearly, at the same time, over such a vast distance?" 'LIKE A BRIGHT STAR' Canberra resident James Butcher says he was driving home from a night out with his brother when they spotted the "strange spiral light in the sky".

"It had a distinct bright centre, much like a bright star, indicating an object shedding light trails, spiralling and fattening out from it," he said. "The effect lasted only two or three minutes, moving and descending quickly out of view. "The colour was yellowish but this may have been blurred and tinted by the morning fog." Wollongong man Eddie Wise says he also saw the light during his morning walk just before 6:00am. He says he has never seen anything like it. "It was like a yellowish, greenish light with a light spiral around it," he said. "It sort of moved around, bobbed up and down and then it went behind a cloud. "I'm just amazed. I want to know what it was." A caller to the ABC, Robyn, says she saw the phenomenon from her home on Sydney's north shore just before 6:00am. She says it was over within two minutes. "There was this white light up in the sky like a huge revolving moon," Robyn said. "At first I thought it was the moon but it was travelling so fast, high up above the eastern horizon and twirling as it went. "It was just amazing and to be quite frank, I was quite frightened and my heart's still pounding." 'LOLLIPOP-TYPE SWIRL' A number of people from Morayfield and Caboolture in Queensland have reported that they too saw a white light in the sky about 5:50am. "It was just the one light. I just came home from my walk and I happened to look up in the sky, and here it was racing across the sky," Linda told 612 ABC Brisbane. "I bashed on the window for my husband to have a look and he flew out. "It was spectacular." Linda described the light as like a lollipop swirl. She says the light came from the west and was headed east, out to sea. "It was just unreal. There was a cloud in the sky - just this light with a swirl in the middle," she said. Peter, from Balmoral, says he saw the light while he was on a ferry terminal on the Brisbane River. "It certainly had that lollipop-type swirl ... but it was travelling low and fairly fast, and as it went past me and I looked up, it looked like a row of lights, maybe four lights," he said. Denise, at Pine Mountain, told ABC radio in Brisbane that she saw the lights shortly before 6:00am. "I got up at about 5:45 to let my horse out of his stable ... and I saw this coming from a north-west direction towards the south-east," she said. "There was no noise. It was like bands of ribbon coming out of it and it looked like it was coming through a cloud, yet there were no clouds." .

OH, THOSE FALCON UFOS!

Yesterday, a lot of Australians reported seeing a bizarre UFO. Just before 6:00 a.m. local time, numerous reports came in about a spiral of light in the sky with a bright central spot. The light was actually spinning around, like a pinwheel! One site has pretty cool video of it, and pictures are turning up on the web as well. Sound familiar? Yeah, it should: these reports are almost exactly like a spiral shaped light seen over Norway last year. The Norway sighting a picture of it is below, on the right was positively identified as a Russian missile, so of course as soon as I heard of this new Aussie sighting the first thing I thought of was that it was a rocket booster. So I leaned over my keyboard and was about to Google "rocket launch schedule" or something similar, when I suddenly stopped. I smiled, leaned back, and almost literally facepalmed myself. Gee, I thought to myself, what rocket wouldve launched yesterday morning? Duh: the SpaceX Falcon 9! The private company successfully held its first test

launch of the big rocket, blasting off from its Florida pad at 18:45 UT Friday which is 04:45 Sydney, Australia time.

Heres the Falcon 9 ground track the path of the rocket over the Earths surface provided by jetforme (based on orbital parameters

Note how the path goes right over eastern Australia! The timing is perfect, too: about an hour later, the second stage wouldve been halfway around the world, matching the position and time of the UFO sightings. The spiral pattern seen in Norway is known to be from gas leaking out of the booster. As the booster spins and the gas shoots out, it makes a water-sprinkler spiral pattern in the sky. As it happens, the second stage of the Falcon 9 was rotating; this was not supposed to happen and the SpaceX engineers are looking into it (it didnt affect the launch adversely; the payload achieved orbit). So the timing was right, the booster was spinning, and we know that spirals like this are an outcome of rocket launches. Of course, this isnt enough for some UFO believers. ABC in Australia had this from Doug Moffett of the UFO Research NSW: "Firstly, the time of the launch was 18.45 GMT, which translates to 4.45am EST, the duration of the flight was 9 minutes 38 seconds this is a full hour before the reported sightings," he said. "Secondly, where was the glow from the boosters or from the friction created by the craft moving through the atmosphere, where was the tail of the rocket?" "Thirdly, why would anyone launch a rocket on a maiden test flight with a trajectory that would take it over the most heavily populated parts of Australia? "And how big must this rocket have been to be seen so clearly, at the same time, over such a vast distance?"

I have to admit, its pretty rare to see somebody get so many things wrong in so few words! Lets take them point by point: 1) This isnt a starship, its a rocket, and takes time to go around the Earth. An orbit is usually 90 minutes in period, so it takes about 45 minutes or so to get from Florida to Australia. Plus, since this was a launch it wasnt moving at top speed the whole time; it took a few minutes to accelerate to orbital speeds. That makes the timing about perfect. 2) Mr. Moffett needs to understand that a launch from Florida, tens of thousands of kilometers from Australia, gives the rocket plenty of time to get above our atmosphere (which is only a few kilometers high). Heck, the Falcon 9 was up and outside the atmosphere in the first few minutes of flight, when it was barely over the Atlantic! So by the time it was passing over Australia it wouldve been a couple of hundred kilometers up. 3) Again, Mr. Moffetts grasp of scale is lacking. If the rocket failed, it would have done so over the Atlantic. Thats why we launch rockets from Florida in the first place! Theres essentially no way a failure could cause a rocket to crash in Australia; by the time it gets there its in orbit and safe. 4) This is the most telling point: anyone familiar with the sky knows that satellites are easy to spot with just your eye. Rockets can be even easier, especially when theyre spewing out gas! This is something Ive been saying for years: if you know what youre looking at in the sky meteors, satellites, planets, and so on a lot of UFO stories evaporate. The fact that so many reported UFOs turn out to be mundane objects is a pretty good sign that more than a few UFO enthusiasts arent terribly familiar with observing the sky. I find that highly ironic. For what its worth, the ABC story did have a quote from an astronomer who also posits its the Falcon 9, but they gave more space to the UFO guy, and put his claims after the astronomers, giving them more weight. So despite the nonsense youll hear from the news sites and the bulletin boards that will claim this is some sort of transdimensional stargate warp, I think we have a pretty good idea that we actually do have a UFO here, as long as its an bercool Falcon (in) Orbit.

X-FILES LINKED TO UFO SIGHTING REPORTS

Posted Tue Aug 18, 2009 11:49am AEST Updated Tue Aug 18, 2009 11:48am AEST Lemon-headed aliens, scrambled fighter jets and mysterious lights over a cemetery are among details of some 800 UFO sightings released by British authorities. The 1981-1996 archives show the reports surged while TV series The X-Files was running on British television, and again when 1996 blockbuster Independence Day was in cinemas. Among the most striking accounts released by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) is that of two boys who reported being spoken to by an alien with a lemon-shaped head, who appeared before them in a field on May 4, 1995. "We want you, come with us," said the alien's voice, according to a police report filed after the youngsters, who seemed "agitated and distressed," recounted their experiences. "They stated the object was about four houses high in the sky and about forty foot away from them," said the report, adding that when officers went to check two days later, they found only a farmer spraying his crops. In another account bound to excite ufologists, a former armed forces chief urged authorities to take more seriously a report by US Air Force (USAF) staff near an airbase in eastern England. The individuals "reported seeing a strange glowing object in the forest," said a report by a USAF commander, recounting what three of his staff told him of the incident, early on the morning of December 27, 1980.
9

Newsletter of The Blue Mountains UFO Research Club June 2010.

"It illuminated the entire forest with a white light. The object itself had a pulsing red light on top and a bank of blue lights underneath. The object was hovering or on legs. As the patrolmen approached the object, it manoeuvred through the trees and disappeared." Then there is the report of how, between November 1989 and April 1990, the Belgian air force scrambled F-16 fighter jets to investigate a series of UFO sightings - and reportedly "locked on" to them with their radars. "The mystery remains unresolved," wrote General Wilfried de Brouwer, Chief of Operations, Belgian Air Staff, adding that despite being sceptical, "the evidence was remarkable". One of the spookiest incidents occurred in the early hours of July 15, 1996, when a UFO was spotted hovering over a cemetery in Widnes, north-west England, before firing burning laser beams into the ground. Cynics would note that the man involved was heading home from a night out at the time - possibly in a similar mental state to two revellers who claimed to have seen a UFO hovering over the jazz tent at the 1994 Glastonbury Festival. And sceptics will also point to a more general trend made clear by the latest archives. In 1995 there were 117 UFO sightings reported to authorities, but this spiked to 609 in 1996, according to the MoD reports, released after a three-year project with the National Archives. "It's evident there is some connection between newspaper stories, TV programs and films about alien visitors and the numbers of UFO sightings reported," said UFO expert and journalism lecturer David Clarke. "Aside from 1996, one of the busiest years for UFO sightings reported to the MoD over the past half century was 1978 - the year Close Encounters of the Third Kind was released," he added. - AFP

DOES THIS GOOGLE MAP SNAP SHOW A UFO OVER SYDNEY?

By Brett McKeehan. From: The Daily Telegraph. December 11, 2008 3:18PM.

THE truth isn't just out there - it's apparently right near the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Shocked Daily Telegraph reader Steve Jolliffe spotted what appears to be a flying saucer hovering directly above Millers Point while checking out Google Maps. "I live in the street on the corner and it has a beautiful view of the harbour. I was just trying to get a look on Google when I saw it," Mr Jolliffe said. "It just caught my eye - I couldn't get back to bed. I thought it was a UFO straight away." The bizarre discovery comes at the tail end of a bumper year for close encounters of the third kind with strange craft seen all over NSW, Australia and Britain. And Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell - who knows his stuff as co-holder of the record for longest-ever moon walk - caused a storm when he insisted extra-terrestrials had paid repeated visits to our planet but the encounters were kept secret by government agencies.

Then a Turkish security guard took a series of photographs which experts insist are the "most important images of a UFO ever caught on camera", showing a saucer-like craft flying in the night sky which under scrutiny even apparently reveals alien beings inside. Careful study of the Google picture isn't quite as enlightening. Photograph experts warned it could be a distortion - but Google didn't deny it was an alien craft. A spokesman joked: "The interplanetary internet project is clearly gaining momentum quicker than we thought!" He added: "Of course, as with human-owned vehicles in Google street view, the licence plates on this UFO are not identifiable." Source: Daily Telegraph

CLAYTON SOUTH RESIDENTS REMEMBER THE 1966 DAY THEY SAW FLYING OBJECTS
Terry Brown From: Herald Sun June 03, 2010 12:00AM

IS THE UFO TRUTH HERE?

Flying saucers, crop circles, missing film, disappearing files, denials, military cover-ups, threats and shadowy Men in Black. It couldn't happen here? Most people would say it couldn't happen anywhere! But more than 100 witnesses to one of the world's biggest UFO mysteries are adamant that it did, in broad daylight in Clayton South on April 6, 1966. And 44 years after the event, many are still fuming that the military they say were swarming around the scene for days have officially denied the incident and no record appears to exist. They say they spent their lives being doubted and want some official acknowledgment that something weird happened above and behind Westall high and primary schools that morning. London's Telegraph newspaper rates it as the fifth-greatest UFO mystery of all time, but another mystery is how little-known the episode is here. A documentary - Westall '66: A Suburban UFO Mystery premiered on Austar and Foxtel's Sci-Fi Channel Producers hope it will flush out an official who can say what the military were doing and what they found. Researcher Shane Ryan has spent five years tracking 110 witnesses, many found through an appeal in the Herald Sun in 2006, but could find no military officials, and no record of a military response. But locals remember it vividly, saying it lasted days. The 110 Mr Ryan has found who say they saw saucers include professionals, tradies and a Ministerial Adviser, but not one military official of the time. He says time is running out for them to come clean. "Whatever security concerns there were at the time, they are redundant now,'' he says. A TV crew covered the incident and it screened on the 6pm news, but the film canister from the job was recently found empty in the station archives. Several witnesses say they were warned off speaking by sharply-dressed men in dark suits, in the principal's office and at home.

Suesan Crosthwaite, Pauline Kelly, Terry peck and Kevin Hurley can remember vividly April 6, 1966 when mysterious objects flew of Westall Primary and Secondary School.

Others recall school threats of detention for UFO talk. But talk there was, and coverage. The Dandenong Journal reported the incident on its front page for consecutive issues and ran interviews with witnesses. Many were school pupils who say they saw flying saucers from their school yards. Some ran to Grange Reserve, where the craft appeared to have come down. Terry Peck, 56, was among them. She says she was playing cricket on the oval, saw the saucer and chased after it to Grange Reserve. "Two girls were there before me. One was terribly upset and they were pale, really white, ghostly white. They just said they had passed out, fainted. One was taken to hospital in an ambulance,'' she says. Ms Peck says she saw a silver, classic-shape saucer rise up. "I was about 6m away from it. It was bigger than a car and circular. I think I saw some lights underneath it. "We all got called to an assembly ... and they told us all to keep quiet. "I'd absolutely just like someone to come forward from the services just to say 'yes, it did happen, and it landed and there was a cover-up'.'' Jacqueline Argent, 58, in Form 3 then, says she saw a UFO from the oval and was one of the first three kids over the fence looking for where it came down. "Originally I thought it must have been an experimental-type aircraft, but nothing has emerged like that after all these years,'' she said. She says she was called into the headmaster's office and interrogated by three men: "They had goodquality suits and were well spoken. They said, 'I suppose you saw little green men'? "I spoke to my parents about it at the time and they were pretty outraged.'' Retired engineer Kevin Hurley, a Monash Uni student then, missed the saucers but saw the aftermath. "There were army or air force people in the area,'' he said. "I'm pretty sure they were going around the area with gieger counters or metal detectors. "I'm not a freak that thinks Martian people are coming. I don't think that kind of stuff, but it's bugged me. "After 44 years, I reckon they need to come clean on this.'' -012
