Temple of Nim Research Program for 2006. Just as 2005 ended with the discovery of a fossil hominid skull cap, of a being transitional between Homo erectus and Homo sapiens, dating somewhere between 1 million and 800,000 years BP [Before Present] the full details of which are reported in this newsletter so too has 2006 opened with not one, but two fossil hominid finds, auguring great discoveries for 2006.

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2006

3 These finds were made on the afternoon on Sunday 1st January. The first was a large endocast of a skull very similar to the proto-Homo erectus skull-type found on Narrow Neck Peninsula on January 7th 2005. This latest find comes from old Pleistocene deposits on the roadside near the Golden Stairs. Heather and I were at the time driving out to the Water Board gate to take Cuddles for a walk, but due to bushfire danger, the road was closed to hikers. So I decided to spend time thereabouts looking for fossils, and discovered the endocast soon after. We then drove Cuddles out to Kings Tableland behind Wentworth Falls, where, as I walker her along a dirt track, I spotted a strange lump of rock half buried in hard ground. Digging it out I found it to be the endocast of a small hominid brain endocast similar to that recovered in late December 2003 in Katoomba Golf Course. Both fossils found this New Years Day have been ironstone and therefore are of great age. 2006 promises to be a year of major new discoveries, and the Temple of Nim research team will be kept pretty busy uncovering our hidden past. There are new fossil hominid giant-size and smaller footprints to record at sites between Sydney and the Blue Mountains, and a search for further evidence of fossil giant hominid skull and other remains, as well as their stone megatools over a wide area stretching from southern New South Wales to the Central West. The search for more [smaller] fossil hominid skulls will also be stepped up, and further research carried out on the Bega District volcanic site where, in May last year, the Gilroys uncovered a 7 million year old endocast skull of an ancestral hominid. We will be on the lookout for more trustworthy field assistants this year, to help with the workload of discoveries. Searches for the Yowie [ie surviving Homo erectus], Rexbeast [the giant form] and the mysterious little pygmy folk of the Blue Mountains will be stepped up, and the results used in the Gilroys Yowie documentary still being filmed. We will also welcome new, regular members of the Blue Mountains UFO Research Club willing to go out at night summer or winter for Skywatches, and surveillance of the Burragorang underground US top secret advanced space technology research base. The Gilroys have largely had to saddle all the work for cryptozoological fieldwork on the Blue Mountains and will welcome anyone willing to assist us. This will include the search for, and plaster-casting of mystery animal and hominid footprints in remote localities such as the Wollangambie, Wollemi and Newnes forests. It is exciting work, because this region is home to not only the Yowie/Homo erectus, but also the extinct Tasmanian Tiger [Thylacine], Australian Panther and Blue Mountains Lion, the mysterious emu and giant monitor lizard, among other elusives. In the wake of the discovery by Debra and Russell Dunn of the mighty Orange NSW megalithic temple dedicated to the Uruan Moon Goddess, Ara and her protector, the Owl God, Ma; as well as other new megalithic sites in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia, the Blue Mountains and Central Coast of New South Wales, our knowledge of Uruan astronomical science is advancing, and this had recently been further assisted by the discovery of a massive megalithic astronomical/temple complex of the Uru deep in the Kanangra Boyd wilderness, while another site deep in the Newnes forest country awaits Temple of Nim investigation. The Lost City of Kanangra, which the Gilroys have single-handedly measured and filmed over the past ten years continues to grow, with two more extensive sites added to it, one being a huge temple of crude granite stones, at which a massive assembly area, stone enclosure and huge stone head of the Sun-

4 God, Nim was discovered by Rex Gilroy. The true location of this over 10 square kilometres of fallen temples, other monuments and settlement traces is far too important to be made known to the general public for obvious reasons, and the Gilroys have jealous rivals who would gladly plagiarise their discovery and many years work as their own, for media publicity which would only lead to treasurehunting vandalism, destruction by religious fanatics etc., which was the fate of the Gympie Pyramid so many years ago. Therefore only the most trustworthy assistants will be chosen for this particular investigation. Work on the new sites at Kanangra will include measuring and filming the sites, and there are pyramidal structures hereabouts needing particular attention. There will be all kinds of research, both conventional and paranormal involved over a wide area of Australia, assisted by newly added fieldworkers. Skywatches from ancient Uruan astronomical sites are planned, and this newsletter will therefore, hopefully be seeing plenty of action reports in the coming issues! It is hoped to carry out research deep inland up the Hawkesbury River for traces of ancient middle-eastern colonists, as well as landfalls by ancient Chinese Vikings, Portuguese, Spaniards and others; as well as investigate the Hunter River district into the Central West for further traces of Phoenician and Egyptian etc mining colonisation in Bronze-Age times. The search for their ancient open-cut mines will be one important aspect of this research, particularly at locations south of Bathurst, the Mudgee district, and areas further west, including new sites on the NSW Far South Coast and inland. Our work will sometimes involve long hikes to sites, sometimes bush-bashing into remote situations, and also climbing hills and mountains to record ancient astronomical sites etc. So our appeal goes out to the adventurous who want to learn about the myriad of lost mysteries to be found throughout this timeless continent. Our work will see us recording rock scripts of the ancient Egypto-Phoenician colonists of the Central Coast, whose day-to-day messages tell us more about the daily lives of the thousands of inhabitants of the Bronze-Age Gosford Colony than the much publicised Kariong hieroglyphs, which speak only of the names of deceased locally-appointed Pharaohs, and their burial sites [largely up the Hawkesbury River]. A lot of fieldwork is needed this year throughout the Blue Mountains and Sydney rivers and creek systems where ancient relics and rock scripts telling of Phoenician and other visitations, even long-term colonisation have already been found. So anyone who feels up to this sort of fieldwork, is welcome to call the Gilroys on 02 47823441; email randhgilroy@optusnet.com.au [PO Box 202 Katoomba NSW 2780]. During the winter months while the snakes are gone, there will be searches for Lost Pygmy Tribe and Yowie habitation sites at certain swampland and gully locations, as well as forest sites, where campfires and stone tools have been found on previous searches by the Gilroys and Nim team members. Filming of these sites on video, like so many other locations where hominids past and present have been in occupation will be carried out, and a full film record of Uru sites will be one target of the 2006 Temple of Nim team. Our intention is to keep up a round-the-clock On a recent investigation up research objective this year, with many assistants the Hawkesbury River with new top Gilroy field over a wide area of Australia, so if YOU are interested, assistants, Kevin Bell and we would like to hear from you soon. Mountains UFO Activity A Continuing Mystery. By Rex Gilroy. Copyright Rex Gilroy 2006. In my next UFO book now in preparation, concerning the Blue Mountains, I will present not only historical period material, and ancient Aboriginal traditions of Gods from the Stars, but also a wealth of modern-day sightings reports, alien abductions cases and cases of people who have somehow stepped back in time. All this in a region where aircraft have gone missing, people vanished into underground worlds, or else claimed to have been taken for joy flights by ETs! It is also, of course, a region beneath which lies a network of top-secret American advanced space technology bases, where time-travel associated with space voyages to distant worlds is a prime research. Blue Mountains UFO Research Club members have an important role to play here, carrying out Skywatches and recording every mysterious object seen over these skies, and this can even sometimes include daytime sightings. Right now as I type, the Megalong-Burragorang Valley are experiencing more strange lights at night, but the Wollemi region is also at present the scene of saucer-shaped and other UFO sightings by campers and others. Consider these latest reports: 1. On July 2005, Mr and Mrs K & C of Springwood, while driving on the Bell to Mt Victoria road at 1am, observed high in the sky to the west, 8 silver lights moving in a roughly circular formation from south to north. They stopped the car and got out to watch the lights on the roadside. The lights moved slowly, taking 15 minutes to move out of sight across the horizon. 2. Mr John E and his female passenger, Miss S stopped their motorcycle around 5pm on May 12th 2005 outside Yarramundi, to watch a blue and silvery saucer-shaped object moving rapidly from the northwest high above them.

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2006

6 The craft appeared to suddenly slow to a halt, hover for a minute or two, then proceed to move of to the south-west, increasing speed as it did so, to vanish out of sight over the Blue Mountains in the direction of Springwood. 3. Three glowing silvery light balls were claimed spotted over Newnes around 5am on February 10th 2003 by a group of young campers. The objects were coming from north to south high above the trees. 4. In a similar incident, 5 orange-glowing balls the size of cars, were described by Mr J of Penrith, as hovering high over Penrith around 8pm on August 6th 2004. Two moved off in the direction of Sydney, another moved in the direction of Warragamba, while the other two simply faded away. 5. On Three occasions between 1 and 3am during December 2005, the author, while taking our dog cuddles for a walk in the cool air, from our Katoomba home up onto Cliff drive, with binoculars, spotted the massive space station reportedly seen by many people on and off over the last couple of years, as either being high in the south or south-west sky, or else in the west or north, and sometimes moving over Katoomba. On my latest sightings the mighty craft was either hovering in the north-west, the south-west and on the last occasion, I observed it, between cloud cover, to move slowly across the heavens from south to north, to the west of Katoomba, taking 45 minutes to vanish to the north. At all times the craft was high above the earths atmosphere. 6. Over the past month [December-January] a yellowish-glowing saucer-type craft has been seen by a family living at Lawson. The craft has been observed at 3km in the sky to the south, moving west, or else in one instance, flying high over the town from south to north. 7. One night in December 2005, while I was walking Cuddles the dog up the road beside the entrance to Katoomba Golf Course, at about 2.30am I spotted, high above cloud level to the north-east above Katoomba, a blueshining object, star-like, moving from the north-east over Katoomba. It was about this point that it appeared to change course, moving more rapidly westward, before turning southward from a point above Oberon to the west. It then moved rapidly out of view over Burragorang Valley. 8. A red-glowing, triangular craft house-size, has been claimed seen high in the sky on several occasions during November-December 2005, moving from the north over Lithgow, southward over Megalong Valley. 9. Strange lights and mystery craft of one shape or another have been commonplace events over Burragorang-Megalong Valleys lately, and they continue to be seen. It looks like some time spent Skywatching out on Narrow Neck by Blue Mountains UFO Research members could prove to be highly successful this year. -0Report on the Australian Cosmic Connection UFO Metaphysical conference held in Adelaide November 12th-13th, 2005. By Rex Gilroy. This conference organised by Kevin and Vanessa Robb and the rest of their team at Australian Cosmic Connection, in Adelaide for a first effort turned out to be a great success. We eagerly look forward to the next one! There were originally twelve speakers arranged, [one of whom was a surprise speaker], but Mike Farrell who was to speak on overseas UFO film footage, was unable to attend. The conference was held over Saturday/Sunday 12th and 13th November 2005, and was held at the Marion sports and Community Club.

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2006

7 The first speaker, at 9.15am was Martin Gottschall of UFO QLD, who spoke on Multiple Realities, often referred to as the Higher or Lower Octaves of manifestation in Esoteric teachings. Our physical reality is just one example. Then at 11am Kathy Scarborough SA Spoke on Investigate before you vaccinate. Kathy presented research findings that show vaccines are ineffective and detrimental to health. After the lunch break [12.30-1.30pm] at 1.45pm Debbie Payne SA [AURA] addressed the gathering on the Australian Disclosure Project and just how much information was held by the Australian Government on the subject of UFOs. Debbie was followed at 3.30pm by one Rex Gilroy of Blue Mountains UFO Research Club from NSW, who gave his characteristic excellent slide talk on Paranormal Mountains, which concerned the Blue Mountains, from its unknown dinosaur fossil evidence through to our mystery animals, such as the Thylacine, Blue Mountains Lion, Australian Panther, giant monitor lizard etc, evidence of pre-Aboriginal Stone-Age races, including the Yowie/Homo erectus, and moving on to the URU civilisation, ancient astronauts, past and present UFO sightings and alien abductions, time-travel experiences and the American underground secret space technology bases in the Burragorang and two other remote areas on the Blue Mountains. Tea was at 7.15pm, the surprise speaker at this time being Dawn Andersen, unquestionably one of Australias foremost researchers into the extinct Thylacine. Her South Australian etc research confirms those of Heather and I in Eastern Australia. Dawn had wanted to meet me for years and we certainly had much to talk about over the next couple of days. The Sunday speakers began at 9.15am with Sheryl Gottschall, UFO Qld, who gave a great talk on Species Shift. This presentation explored how the western mind is being triggered by anomalous experiences such as ET contact. 11am saw Kevin Robb SA Australian Cosmic Connection, speak on Letting go of all fear from Abductee to Enlightenment. Kevin showed photos of UFOs and spoke of his personal experience. Lunch at 12.30-1.30pm with sandwiches with love was followed by Glennys Mackay at 1.45pm of Qld [QUFON] addressed us on Spiritual Awareness, a perspective on the life of a Spiritual Mediums close encounters of many kinds. Her message was that we are not alone. 3.30pm Mary Rodwell WA [ACERN] gave a fascinating talk on Awakening, in which she shared the reality of the Star, Crystal and Indigo children. Mary and the Gilroys spent a good deal of time together during which she gave us an autographed copy of her latest book Awakening, which concerns ET contact and the many forms in which it manifests itself highly recommended reading! At 5.15 Jeff Fausch SA spoke on Paranormal Field Investigators. He presented some fantastic video footage of orbs, ghosts, and poltergeist activity within the Old Adelaide Gaol, St Cecilias Church in Peterborough and cemetery investigations. Tea was at 7.15pm at which the hall buzzed with conversations on a myriad of paranormal subjects! Monday saw Heather and I heading up into the Adelaide Hills to the BBQ, which was held at the home of Kevin and Vanessa Robb. Here Dawn Andersen presented me with he complete files on her lifetimes research into the Tasmanian Tiger [Thylacine], including hair samples of one of these extinct marsupials, which despite academic denials, persist in being seen in remote regions Australia-wide! We felt very honoured that Dawn should entrust he lifes work in our hands and her research findings will be an invaluable aid in all our future Thylacine investigations.

8 I could not help myself, and as the Robb property is alongside a dirt road on Mt Magnificent, I went for a walk to photograph scenery. It was not very long before I picked up a rock bearing Phoenician script, then another, another etc., until I ended up with a dozen inscribed slabs, mostly votive offering messages for a long vanished shrine or temple to Baal that had to have stood nearby. The area is gold-bearing and situated 30miles north of the Murray River mouth, suggesting a mining colony had been established by middle-east mineral-seeking explorers hereabouts around 4,000 years ago. Afterwards Kevin and I washed them in his sink, while we made plans to return here in 2006 for a detailed investigation of the area. After the BBQ was over, everyone went their separate ways, and the Gilroys, having a great time at this conference, headed north for the Flinders Ranges, where important new discoveries of the ancient mineral-seekers awaited us. -0-

New Fossil Hominid finds at Katoomba and Kings Tableland. By Rex Gilroy. Copyright Rex Gilroy 2006. As 2005 ended and 2006 began, three important fossil discoveries were made which have filled in further gaps in our knowledge of the true first Australians Homo erectus and his forefathers! However, I shall first digress back to January 1st 2005, when, a walk out on Narrow Neck plateau resulted in the discovery of a small hominid brain endocast. A few days later, in the same area on January 7th I recovered the mineralised skull of a proto-Homo erectus, which despite its poor condition and some distortion, possessed the remains of a pointed sagittal crest, something to date unknown in any Homo erectus skull type found by me. This fossil came from the very base deposits of the Pleistocene period 2-3m surface strata that covers the Upper Blue Mountains, and which the Narrow Neck fire trail exposes down to its base of 2 million years ago where the Pliocene period ends. This means that the proto-Homo erectus skull represents a race ancestral to archaic Homo erectus who immediately followed it. I have wondered ever since if I might ever be lucky enough to find further evidence of this proto-Homo erectus and now it appears I have! Yet just before this latest find, there was another of considerable significance in the evolutionary development of modern humans [Homo sapiens] from their late Homo erectus forefather. Archaic Homo erectus, like his proto-Homo erectus forefather, besides the long, narrow skull which identifies such skull-types [ie doliocephalic had a flattish cranium, whereas, the late form developed a gradually higher cranium with a receding forehead which the archaics lack. In time the late Homo erectus skull became rounder and the forehead developed, until our present [brachiocephalic] round-skulled form when we became Homo sapiens. So far I had been finding specimens suggesting the earliest archaic Homo sapien skull-types [at least on the Blue Mountains] dated back around 500,000-400,000 years BP [Before Present]. However, the latest fossil about to be described suggests that the changeover from erectus into sapiens began much earlier in Australia than in Asia/Europe/Africa, at somewhere around 1 million to 800,000 years BP! ***** th On the afternoon of Tuesday 20 December 2005 while breaking in our new field assistant, Kathryn McLoghry [from the Central Coast and a member of Moira McGhees group], I attempted to show her a remote Uru temple site, situated in dense scrub out on the Neck. Unfortunately I misjudged the direction to take and we ended up battling our way through dense, scratchy bottlebrush and other generally difficult-to-getthrough shrubbery. It was also very hot too, and our water supply was low. Finally I decided to give up for Kathryns sake and relocate the site myself later on before showing her next time. So leading her onto an old walking track that I knew to be nearby, we began our way back to the fire trail that goes the full

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2006

12 distance of Narrow Neck. Had it not been for mistaking the direction to the temple site, we would not have made our big discovery. At one point, looking down at the ground I spotted an oddly-shaped ironstone rock. Picking it up I immediately saw that it was a hominid skull dome minus the brow ridges! The specimen had a very high dome as in early Homo sapien skulls while displaying a longish, narrow formation, despite some flattening of the left cranial side through distortion in the early stages of burial. I realised that, thanks to taking Kathryn out for the training session, we had discovered a remarkable fossil, because I realised that this skull dome possessed the longish skull of a Homo erectus while possessing a high cranium of Homo sapiens. Here was an intermediate form between Homo erectus and Homo sapiens! In the flattish archaic erectus skulls the brains were situated behind the eyes, but once the cranium evolved upwards the brains gradually shifted to their present situation. The cranium measures 14.7cm in length by 7.5cm in available depth by 8.5cm in width. Although the strata in which it had rested had long ago been washed away, there is no doubt that it was the same Pleistocene strata that continued directly to the east, separated from the cranium site by a gully. For various reasons this particular strata places the fossil at around or just under 1 million to 800,000 years BP. This strata is the upper half of the entire Pleistocene 2 million years old beds that the fire trail cuts through. For some years in the vicinity of the future protoHomo erectus skull find I had been finding numbers of very primitive dawn tools, or eoliths, and wondered who their makers might be. We now know that they were made by proto-Homo erectus and his later relatives. Kathryn and I made it back to Heather waiting with the car at the Water Board gate, where Heather had a good supply of drinks for us, which was good, seeing that we had just about used up our last of our water. Kathryn however was a good sport and despite the unexpectedly over hot day that it turned out to be for us, it was well worth the effort. Kathryn caught on immediately to the art of finding faded rock engravings, even discovering Uru glyphs that Greg Foster and I had completely overlooked at a large altar site, and was thrilled with finding her very first rock scripts. Soon we shall begin work on some major sites on the Central Coast-Blue Mountains [but when its not so hot] and I anticipate Kathryn will be making some great discoveries! Meanwhile, the cranium we found has been given the name of the GilroyMcLoghry skull and now takes an important place in the Gilroy fossil hominid collection. ***** On New Years Day I felt lucky and decided we should drive Cuddles out to the Water Board Gate for a walk on the fire trail. However, due to the bushfire danger we found signs saying that all hiking tracks were closed for the time being. So deciding to walk down the steep section of road that we had just driven up, I soon found a small endocast of a hominid skull facial section. It was a very poorly preserved specimen however. Yet upon reaching the base of the road I spotted a large lump of pebble-encrusted ironstone. The sun cast a shadow on it at this time and I spotted two eye sockets. Upon picking It up I realised I had seen this stone on the ground many times over the last several years, and that I was holding a large hominid skull endocast! In fact, with the skull bones in place the fossil would have resembled the proto-Homo erectus skull just described. |this fossil had originated from the nearby Pleistocene strata that follows the road all the way out the end of Narrow Neck, and came from the same deposit level as the January 7th 2005 skull.

Blue Mountains UFO Research Club Newsletter January 2006

13 This find convinces me that I have an endocast and fossil skull of a definite separate form to the [later] Homo erectus proper. I now wonder if I shall ever fill up the gap that now exists between this 2 million year old race and the 7 million year old Bega district ancestral hominid skull endocast, found by me on May 7th last year. So it seems many more surprises yet await discovery! The endocast is 22.5cm in length by 20.5cm in width across the orbital area, where there are suggestions of former thick projecting brow ridges. The skull endocast is 11cm in depth. The eye sockets are 2cm apart, measuring 5cm tall by 6cm in width. The face projected. The rear of the cranium is missing, but had it been intact, would have shown a hominid with a large skull. These features parallel those of the earlier proto-Homo erectus skull, suggesting the owners of these skulls were somewhat strong, muscular individuals of up to 6ft [ie about 1.83m]. ***** However, Cuddles was still in the hot car and had yet to have her walk, so we decided to drive down to Wentworth Falls and out onto Kings Tableland Road. Here we stopped while I walked her along an old roadside bush track that I have been on before. However, it was not long before I spotted a strange lump of ironstone projecting from the ground. Digging it up I cleaned the dirt from it to discover I was holding the brain endocast of a small hominid. The fossil displays the outline of both hemispheres and resembles the small brain endocast form Katoomba Gold Course, discovered by me on December 28th 2003. The Katoomba brain endocast has some skull material attached and is around 1 million years old. The Kings Tableland fossil looks about the same age. To find two important hominid fossils in one day is luck indeed, and is a good omen I feel, that points to more big discoveries of all sorts of things in the coming year! Back in July 2004 on Narrow Neck fire trail I recovered a 500,000 year old mineralised brain endocast of an adult hominid, thus bringing the total number of brain endocasts in my anthropological collection to four, thus nobody can claim that I dont have any brains! Collectively all these fossils, and many more, gathered by me over the years, demonstrate that Australias fossil human past is far older than what we have been traditionally taught. Indeed, it would now appear that ancestral hominids were walking on two legs here long before their ancestors left the trees in Africa. Thus, we must begin thinking Out of Australia, rather than Out of Africa for our modern human origins. -0During 2006 Rex and Kathryn hope to investigate Uru remains in Jamieson Valley. Our previous meeting was a huge success and we look forward to seeing another big roll-up at our next one. There should be some good Skywatches ahead of us up here at Katoomba, weather permitting. Meanwhile, theres a lot happening up there at present so, until our next meeting Watch the Skies! Rex and Heather.
