Ninja Schools

Ronin Ninja - Regular version [Bushi]

Benefit: +1 Agility Honor: 0.5 Skills: Athletics, Deceit, Defense, Kenjutsu, Ninja Ranged Weapons, Stealth (sneaking), any one Bugei or Low skill. Outfit: Wakizashi, Ninja-to, 10 shuriken, any one weapon, ashigaru armor; dark clothing, well-worn traveling clothes and sandals; 1 bu. Techniques: Rank 1: Wind in the Reeds You may add your Fire Ring to the total of all your Stealth rolls and Attack rolls made with ninja or peasant weapons (see the sidebar). A number of times per day equal to your School Rank, you may make a Strength/Athletics roll and add the result to the maximum distance you can move this turn, regardless of your chosen combat posture (this means you could move that distance, in addition to half your normal move, while in the Full Defense posture). Rank 2: Eyes in the Dark You may add your Air Ring to the total of all your Athletics rolls and damage rolls inflicted with ninja or peasant weapons. A number of times per day equal to your School Rank, before you make a Stealth roll, you may announce that anyone whose [Perception x10] is lower than the total of your Stealth roll will automatically fail to notice you (they cannot make a roll to try and see you) as long as you do not perform any action that would attract attention (this would include melee attacks, loud noises, or simply stepping out in plain sight). Rank 3: Steel from the Shadows You may add twice your Fire Ring to the total of all your Stealth rolls and Attack rolls made with ninja or peasant weapons, replacing the bonus granted by your rank 1 technique. When attacking a target that is unaware of your presence, you may spend a Void Point to ignore all TN to be Hit bonuses he might have from armor, school techniques, kata, etc., effectively reducing his TN to be Hit to a flat 5. Rank 4: Invisible Whirlwind You may now make one additional attack per turn. You may add twice your Air Ring to the total of all your Athletics rolls and damage rolls inflicted with ninja or peasant weapons, replacing the bonus granted by your rank 2 technique. Rank 5: Swift Black Death You may add thrice your Fire Ring to the total of all your Stealth rolls and Attack rolls made with ninja or peasant weapons, replacing the bonus granted by your rank 3 technique. Whenever you spend a Void Point to gain +1k1 on an Attack roll, if your Attack roll is at least double the TN to be Hit of your target, all dice from the damage roll that roll a 1

count as a 10 instead (but they do not explode). If the attack was performed with a ninja or peasant weapon, all dice that roll a 2 count as a 10 as well (but they do not explode either).
