ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Many lives and destinies are destroyed due to the lake of proper guidance, direction & opportunities. It is in this respect I feel that I am in much better condition today due to continuous process of motivation & focus provided by my parents & teachers in general. The completion of my training was a tedious job & requires care & support at all stages. I would like to highlight the role played by individual towards this. I am highly indebted to HOD of EE Department, all faculty members of department for providing me an opportunity to have practical exposure at NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY (AJMER). I express my sincere thanks to Mr. MANISH GOYAL (DY. CEE. WORKSHOP) for giving me an opportunity to take industrial training in his department. PREFACE
One of the most universal saying is perfect, Perfect Practice makes man perfect. For this purpose Rajasthan Technical University provides a training of 30 days in an industry for every student of Engineering. So that they can get the opportunity to understand practically what they had read. Many of the government and private firm are there to provide such training. Their objectives for welfare of building engineers and hence devoted indirectly to the nation could fulfilled. I had taken training in NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY WORKSHOP AJMER. This is a one of the biggest premises of transmission and distribution of all over Railway department. Its main function is to receive the 33KV high voltage supply from Nasirabad and Nagra and distribute it to the whole Railway department. Here we learn about the protection and maintenance of various equipment used in SUB STATION & RAILWAY COACHES. The Grid Sub Station fairly gives an idea of working environment in any Railway department as well as we learn about devotion, activeness and concentration towards work.
