General Instructions

1. At least one rule from the phonic drill ppt must be practised along with words incorporating that sound. 2. Lead in for grammar and speaking can either be relevant information or games or visuals or questions eliciting the students responses resource provided includes a book on games and energisers. 3. Corrections in reading /pronunciation can be listed on the board and then revised loudly with the class. 4. Atleast one worksheet in the writing and grammar lectures must be solved in class and rest given as practice exercises . 5. Class participation must be encouraged. 6. Teachers can use their own resources to supplement given resources. 7. Teaching of Grammar to focus on practical applications of rules and for the purpose Visuals and PPT can be used. 8. Games can be used for reinforcing vocabulary and Grammar. 9. Use of Movie Clipping to be included for teaching of Grammar , Punctuation, Vocabulary , Creative Writing etc because Students can form opinions and use textual evidence from a film to support and justify responses. Students demonstrate that they can infer authors' perspectives. Students can transfer their understanding of different modes (gestural, visual, sound) to write short descriptions. 10. Resources provided are to be used as an AID and can be augmented / Substituted at the discretion of the teacher after consultation with Master Course coordinator TEACHER MANUAL

11. Compliance with the time demarcations is not mandatory however it is guideline to facilitate the instructor to manage his / her time in accordance with the given topics. 12. Every topic to be taken up in class should be announced at least two classes prior to the actual class so that students come prepared before hand for the activities. 13. Extras lectures before MTE can be used for doubt clearing or as spillover lectures.
