Saint Michael Catholic Church Garden City, SC 22,000 SF | 1 Story | 2011 (projected) | Project Architect The new church includes a 1200 seat nave, two sacristies, adoration chapel, bride room/cry room, repast kitchen, and gift shop. The project investigates an architectural solution that cultivates the spiritual development of the Parish community through the organization of an ad-hoc collection of sacred relics. Highpoint Community Church Corner, AL 15,000 SF | 3 Story | 2009 | Project Architect The pre-engineered building is intended to serve as the new church building and community center for HPCC in rural Alabama. The project takes inspiration of form and material to echo the surrounding agricultural context. Key features include space for daycare, children Sunday school classrooms, a community and worship space, an outdoor covered porch, interior dog-trot (lobby, pre-function, and reception) space with cafe, and youth space / community storm shelter. [unbuilt] The Park Ministries Charlotte, NC 350,000 SF | 5 Story Adaptive Reuse | 2008 | Project Designer Conversion of the Charlotte Merchandise Mart into a mixed-use facility for the largest African-American congregation in the state. Program included worship assemblies, education, school of theology, library, administrative, restaurant, cafe, tenant mercantile, and tenant business spaces. [unbuilt] LDS Institute of Religion Tempe, AZ 40,000 SF | 2 Story Education Building, 615 Car Parking Garage | 2004 | Project Designer Pedestrian plazas, circulation paths, and outdoor amphitheaters enhance the surroundings in the center of Arizona State Universitys main campus. The program includes a gymnasium, 400-seat chapel, multi-use spaces, state of the art classrooms and computer labs, kitchen, and administrative spaces. The facility is supported by an adjacent parking garage, designed in conjunction with the new institute. Wando Career & Technology Academy Charleston, SC 130,000 SF | 3 Story | Project Architect (Exterior Enclosure) The experimental lab and classroom building will serve approximately 600 students and includes programs such as Automotive Technology, Horticulture, Cosmetology, Health Care, Public Safety/Emergency Medical Services, Childcare, Biomedical Science, Film/Multimedia, Visual Arts. The project includes an extensive green roof and rainwater cistern. USC Aiken Student Activities Center Renovation Aiken, SC 45,000 SF | 2 Story | Project Designer Multi-phased, owner occupied renovation and addition to existing student activities center. Main programmatic spaces include a bookstore, cafeteria, gymnasium, health center, and student rec areas. A large gymnasium was reduced to incorporate a double story space, gaining an additional 5,000 SF flexible meeting space. Greenville Hospital System Ambulatory Care Sites Greenville, SC 13,500 SF | 1 Story | 2009 | Project Designer The ambulatory facility prototype combines clinical urgent care and physical therapy into a branded environment. Comfortably scaled spaces and clean, earthy materials combine to create a high-tech / high-touch environment. An X-Ray Room and Lab accompany 14 exam rooms and a community education space. Lander University Recreation Wellness Sports (RWS) Complex Greenwood, SC 12 Acres | 2011 | Project Architect A brownfield site in Greenwood, SC was converted into a new sports complex for the universitys baseball, softball, soccer, and tennis programs. The project includes press boxes, seating canopies, concessions stand, tennis pavilion, and field house. Peoria Rio Vista Recreation Center Peoria, AZ 50,000 SF | 2 Story | 2005 | Project Designer The new recreation center engages the Peoria Rio Vista Park by extending a public walkway through the building and over an existing lake. The program is skillfully arranged to eliminate corridors and separate public and membership zones. Included are a gymnasium, racquetball courts, fitness space, aerobics and dance rooms, climbing wall, day care, activity zone, classrooms, multi-use spaces, and a kitchen.
