Job Description

Purpose Work under the direction of the Director of Medicaid Services in coordination with the Director of Medicaid/Medicare Services in maintaining service contracts, provider numbers, renewals/re-credentialing, and any other related 3rd party contract/provider information for all Medicaid and Medicare communities. Assist in the preparation and submission of applications and/or required documents/information to state agencies or third party contractors to obtain or maintain communities Medicaid or third party contracts full compliance. Assist with necessary preparation of cost reporting for all contracts as necessary. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Bachelors degree in business, paralegal or a related field (optional, but highly preferred) Five years provider contract negotiation experience in the health care field, including, but not limited to state offices, managed care organization, or other health care field demonstrating increasing responsibility Extensive multi-state Medicaid knowledge and experience Familiarity with SNF operations, contracting requirements, billing, and RUGs Ability to work professionally with internal executive management, operations CTM teams, state contracting officials and executive management of 3rd party contractors Must demonstrate a high degree of organization skills, accuracy and clarity while maintaining confidentiality of high level management, executive and corporate information. Ability to analyze & solve problems Strong computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to multitask, prioritize duties and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as with a team Ability to proofread and accurately revise documentation prior to submission Ability to make sound decisions Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Essential Functions: Maintain compliance with HIPPA and SOX requirements Develop, restructure, and maintain database, department paper & electronic filing systems in relation to contracting and cost reporting. Establish positive business relationships with the CTM management teams, internal & external executive management, state officials, and executives of 3rd party contractors. Collect and maintain community, regional, divisional and corporate data for contracting purposes while maintaining strict confidentiality of information Initiate and track contractor Letters of Agreement, contracts and amendments from initial application to full execution of documents for the completion of applications and renewals of contracts for the Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) Medicare and Medicare 3rd party reimbursements of services.

Effectively communicates with federal contract officers, other staff personnel outside the organization, including other agencies, private companies and citizens, in a professional and courteous manner. Assist in analyzing and coordination of amendments, reimbursement, and language changes. Request information of billing codes, services provided and other information needed to complete the contract profile. High level of interaction with external customers, vendors and internal clients to provide updates and answer questions around contracts and legal issues. Coordinate with the acquisitions groups for the notifications as required by each state/contract including changes of the management team, other changes, pending acquisitions/dispositions of communities. Coordinate the acquiring of appropriate signature for all contracting, cost reporting and other documents as required for completion. Coordinate with the Licensing Department when appropriate to ensure data needed for both departments is accurate and timely. Cost Reporting Coordinate with Community Accounting the collection of community, regional, divisional and corporate financial data required for each program, state and federal contracts for Medicaid and Medicare. Cost Report audits documentation and preparing formal explanations in coordination with cost report preparers. Provides feedback to management regarding possible contracting problems or areas of improvement, and makes recommendations to implement improved processes Reinforce Company Brand Promise; Our Family is Committed to Yours by creating a customer experience of the highest quality Other duties and projects as assigned

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

Full-time; occasionally additional hours beyond a standard 40 hour work week Be available to travel when need to meet requirements and/or training
