En la seccin de alimentacin del amplificador, se conectan el terminal POSITIVO procedente de la batera, el terminal de MASA y el terminal REMOTE que permite sincronizar el encendido con la fuente.

Para valerse de toda la potencia disponible es necesario adecuar la sensibilidad del amplificador a la tensin de salida de la fuente, cuyo valor depende tanto de las caractersticas constructivas como del nivel de la grabacin reproducida (CD, DVD, etc.). La indicacin del fabricante se refiere a la reproduccin de una seal grabada a la mxima amplitud (0db). Sin embargo, gran parte de las grabaciones en el comercio no alcanzan ese nivel y, en consecuencia, en el uso comn, la tensin de salida de la fuente es inferior al valor nominal.
