There are a number of key trends currently in convergence which are having a dramatic effect on the world of education.

Candidates are informed of their result, by receiving a score report, if successfully passing their certificate or other feedback. Successful candidates receive a unique certificate. SAP may also use the data held to provide targeted information to certified candidates and to enable candidates to retrieve specific information. SAP may also inform others of successful candidates' certification. Technology IT is often referred to as enabling technology, but if sensitively applied it is an empowering technology, as it shifts the emphasis from institutions to the individual. Information technology will fuel student choice, choice over where they study, when they study, and at what rate they study.
