UNDERSTANDING FUNCTIONS THICKNESS IN 3D AUTOCAD
Thickness is a simple way to create a 2D object into 3D or function is to provide a certain thickness to a 2D object. The trick is in a 2D image, the x-axis and y given thickness in the direction of the z axis. How to use immediately followed in order to draw some objects eg rectangles or via the Object Properties. Thickness positive toward the positive Z axis Thickness zero no extrusi. Thickness negative toward the negative Z axis Ok .... we try to do the following steps: Open field work on 2D view position, then do some command like below! Command: Rectang Specify first corner point or [Chamfer / Elevation / Fillet / Thickness / Width]: T (enter) Specify thickness for rectangles <0.0000>: 30 (enter) Specify first corner point or [Chamfer / Elevation / Fillet / Thickness / Width]: 0.0 (enter) Specify other corner point or [Area / Dimensions / Rotation]: 70.100 (enter)

Explanation of the above command is: Command: Rectang, this is a command to make a square or by entering the words typed in the Command column Rectang bar. Specify first corner point or [Chamfer / Elevation / Fillet / Thickness / Width]: T (enter). The explanation of this line is that we are asked to give an order to the options given by autocad, in this row means we are required to determine the specific point of the first corner of the rectangle that will be built or choose other options that exist in parentheses. In the example above I made a choice to determine the thickness that I will give to the object that I will make is by typing the letter T.

Specify thickness for rectangles <0.0000>: 30 (enter). The explanation of this line is that we are asked to determine the specific thickness would we give the square object that we will create. In the example above I give a thickness of 30. Specify first corner point or [Chamfer / Elevation / Fillet / Thickness / Width]: 0.0 (enter). The explanation of this line is that we are asked to determine the specific point of the first corner square that will be created. In the example above, I determine for the first vertex is at coordinate 0 for the X axis, and 0 for Y axis Specify other corner point or [Area / Dimensions / Rotation]: 70.100 (enter). The explanation of this line is that we are asked to determine other specific vertex. In the example above, I determine for another vertex located at coordinates 70 for the X and 100 for Y axis So after we did some of these commands is then if we look, we've made are square on the grid corresponding (0.0) and (70.100). But the moment is not finished, because the display view initially using the 2D thickness (Thickness) that we make are not visible. To view the thickness we have seen, we must change the display into 3D View (SW Isometric).

ok, good luck
