Minutes of 6th Session on ISO-14001 (EMS) & 18001 (OHSAS) Certification work for JMT Auto Ltd held

Observations/instructions
1. Heat Treatment OCPs as discussed and modified in the last session in thorough discussion with Mr. Sengupta, HT and his team to make these technically valid and practical from implementation point of view could not be reviewed for finalisation due to non-availability of the same after review by Mr.Sengupta. These would be checked by Mr.Sengupta at earliest so that these can be reviewed and finalised in next session. As final disposal method for some of the critical hazardous waste e.g. Nitriding bath sludge, Washing solution from nitride parts etc. could not be decided in the meeting, it was decided that Mr. Sengupta would talk to the concerned persons and explore ways for suitable disposal method meeting applicable legal/statutory environmental requirement. All other OCPs redrafted based on the modifications suggested. All these OCPs would also be reviewed in the next session for finalisation. Rest of the other reference Standards of ISO-14001/ISO18001 to be procured as suggested. Aspect-Impact study for the Stores area was discussed and drafted. WI prepared for safe handling, storage and use of the purchased hazardous material was reviewed and found ok for implementation. It was decided that only 2 types of empty drums e.g. Plastic drum and Steel sheet drum would be considered for storage & disposal control directly from the earmarked storage area Mr.Giri /Mr.Satnam Singh to prepare the Environmental legal requirement compliance register as per format given to them and show in the next session. A generically prepared guideline document for Emergency preparedness response plan (EPRP) for Fire was given to Mr. Maharana for drafting EPRP for JMT on the basis of the EPRP document prepared by him. This is to be shown in next session. Aspect-impact study for common processes would be discussed after all these are finalised.
