RECENT ADVANCES Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) involves giving anti-retrovirals to HIV- individuals to prevent them from acquiring HIV. The iPrEx study showed PrEP using the Truvada pill reduced transmission of HIV in MSM and trans women.
