Back Story
A treant of immense age and wisdom, Rooftrellen was merely a sapling during the invasion of
the Burning Legion. Having grown powerful over thousands of years, Rooftrellen has lent his
considerable might to the Sentinel cause. An omnipresent force in the forest, he is capable using
his power over the forest to hide his allies. Rooftrellen is aided by the forest itself, providing him
with a thick living armor of vines and entangling nearby foes in a deadly embrace, allowing
Rooftrellen to pound his victims to dust with his massive gnarled limbs

Skills
QUOTE
Nature's Guise
Changes a target friendly unit's appearance so that it blends in with the forest. It is invisible to
enemies eyes, but it must remain near a tree, or the guise is lost.
Cooldown: 3 seconds.
Mana: 90/80/70/60 mana.
Amazing for saving your ally who is attempting to escape a gank. With the new game changes
ganks happen so often this skill has become uber.
QUOTE
Eyes eyes eyes. Yes their vision was nerfed, but with the game now giving bonus's for ganking
early and often seeing more of the map helps with both ends of this.
QUOTE
Living Armor
Magically creates an armor of vines around a friendly unit, protecting it from harm and healing
wounds.
Cooldown: 7 seconds.
Mana: 30/35/40/40 mana.
Duration: 40 seconds.
The mana cost on this is a JOKE, spam this on every hero you come in contact with.
QUOTE
Overgrowth
Summons an overgrowth of damaging vines and branches. Prevents all nearby enemies from
moving or attacking and deals 85 damage per second to each.
Completely lock down every bad guy!? Yes please! Great when also used to save an ally who is
attempting to escape a gank.

Eyes Eyes Eyes. You need the 75 second cooldown. For total map control this is a MUST. Wards
have been nerfed to almost uselessness. Your Eyes give you vision of Runes/Ramps/Creeps. Plus
they have TRUESIGHT. Meaning they can see invisible units. Once eye is maxed out its
honestly what ever you feel is most needed. If I am doing a lot of woods ganking I will max
nature's guise so my allys can stay hidden for an entire minute at a time.
Item Build
Starting Items
You're working on your first major item, Vanguard, which will be used to ignore most creep hits
as you chase heroes with your carry pal you are feeding. Boots are fairly obvious here. Everyone
needs boots! You hit like a tank so if you are a decent player gold early game is easy to come by.
A smart Treant can deny and kill close to an entire lane.
+ =
Here we have finished making our Vanguard as well as make your Oblivion Staff, part of your
refresher. Don't forget to break your Ring of Basilius for this. Most of this is accomplished with
the new tower gold system and nice gold return from ganking with your carry.
+ =
Woot, you have your Refresher you can now lock down all enemy heroes for 10 seconds!
or or
This one is really up to the player.
I prefer Boots of Travel, but Power Treads and the new Phase Boots have their place. If you
didn't farm up enough gold for Bots either of the other two will work almost as well. Redundant!
With Bot's you have only spent 10,275 Gold. In a good game you can make way more then that.
This allows for the certain deaths when playing. Very achievable by level 19-21.
Strategy
Early Game (Levels 1-7)
Buy your Ring, and run as fast as possible top top rune location. While running learn Eye, place
at top rune location tree, you have three trees to choose from! Then B-line it to top or bottom
lane. Top if you are Scourge, Bottom if you are Sentinel.
But wait that's the exact opposite of what every other guide about every other hero says!
Indeed. Welcome to Treant, you are a support/mini-tanker. Leave the easier lanes to heroes who
need a lot of gold. With this harder lane choice comes a reward though. Neutral/Allied creep
pulling! Use this often, it helps your lane partner and makes your enemy's lose 1-2 creeps per
attempt. Eye the area your enemy's will run to once they catch wind of your dirty deeds as well.
If your partner wants to creep pull let him, after all Treant is pretty good at last hit/deny no
matter what hes doing.
I suggest going for a kill as soon as you hit level 6.
The easier way to do so is have one of your allies to start dinking your enemy of choice softly.
Guise your partner in crime then yourself, in secret, and wtf ninja style attack your victim. He
will of coarse attempt to run. Don't root to early or he could get away! Get one/two auto attacks
in before Rooting unless its important to root . Done right this is easily one kill, two if your
partner is pro or someone with an AoE ult such as Lich Sand-King ect... ect...
After my first gank around level 6-7 I'll run and pick up my Boots. This will give my partner a
little bit of XP and my mana is prolly a little low from the gank.
Stout's now in the goblin shop so its easy to get. Sneak into enemy territory to buy your Vitality
Booster and RoH later on. Eye if its off cooldown.
End Game
The game lasted this far? You might be playing pros, or your teammates might be mouth
breathers. Both happen and you learn to deal with it.
If you are getting disabled a lot I'd go with a BkB it puts a stop to all that nonsense.
If you just can't get your opponents down in time and or they run a lot. Shiva's guard would be
nice.
If your allies are mouth breathers, go Mech, they must be dying and could use the HP.
Axe is a special hero. He doesn't get attacked while your ult is up, but it gives him a chance to set
up for optimal Berserker's Call.
Foes
Smart disablers.
Rasta, Silencer, Eul's.
Riki Can silence you, and eat your trees very effectively.
Acknowledgments
I have read the other two guides about Treant so many times and enjoyed the Necro idea but it
wasn't quite for me. Id like to thank Tormentor, takatoo & mugen89, for getting me into this hero
with their original guides.
DonTomaso for keeping his, List of all hero stats, descriptions and abilities, post always updated,
So easy to steal info from as well.
