Foreword:
Fuzzy Wuzzy as i prefer to call him by his older name , a preferable choice
against those powerhouse heroes, being powerhouse himself. (powerhouse hero
means a one who has a greater probablity to own a first blood and go beyond
godlike too.... like BALANAR, RAZOR, PUDGE etc etc.)
Now dont be overconfident, as it depends on the gameplay, or you’ll be first

blooded yourself by others .

Story:
Before the invasion of the Scourge, a race of intelligent bears called furbolgs
cultivated a quiet spiritual society deep in the heart of Azshara. With most of their
kind murdered and corrupted by the Undead, the normally isolated furbolgs were
forced to flee to the Sentinel for protection. In return, the furbolgs have sent their
mightiest Ursa Warrior into battle on the Sentinel behalf. Enraged by the defilement
of his peoples sacred land, Ulfsaar is able to channel his fury into a series of
extremely quick and brutal swipes, using his razor-sharp claws to overpower his
foes and literally tear them apart.

Skill build:
I:
This build is opted when the opposition has majority of STR type heroes, ie if the
STR gain is in the range of +\- 0.3 that of URSA. So level 6 enrage wont eliminate
them due to their high STR gain ( but it isnt necessary to follow the build, I just
mentioned as your probablity of taking first blood decreases ).The other abilities
overpower and Fury Swipes are maxed to harass the Hero. Earthshock is taken at lvl
one to Slow down those fleeing heroes and also as your early escape mechanism.

II:
This is the common build opted for URSA. Enrage is taken at level 6, and Overpower
and Fury Swipes is maxed equally. Stats are taken Mid game for Attribute boost and
earthshock is gradually maxed.
The rest build is same.
Item Build:

x2

The Core:
Later items:

The item build is simple, you have a ultimate that depends on your HP pool. So
basically your aim is to focus on increasing your HP pool. You have an ORB effect
that is your ability, so its a little complicated to build the selected items. Start of
with a stout shield and some tangoes. Stout helps you in future to make vanguard..
your basic HP item and provides a good regen early game also with the creep
damage being blocked. the next essential item is to provide you lifesteal, but your
ORB doesnt allow you, so Vlads is the best option as it provides lifesteal AURA. So
the Lifeleach from Fury swipes is awesome, as the damage increases with each hit.
Do make bracers early.. your basic attribute boosters. Then opt for Dagger, mid
game you are a ganking hero, and making dagger will ensure that no kills are lost or

KSed . Now you have a choice to make HoT or Amulet. Both are the best possible
items for him. i do not personally favour those guides depicting the stack of 3-4
HoTs. Depending on gameplay you should make one of these. Mkae a max of 2
hearts, not more. Next is you should prefer Butterfly, Buriza. More of DPSers in
opponents then go for Butterfly... as evasion will help greatly, otherwise go for
Buriza.

Rejected Items:
Lothars is a shit, compared to the dagger, and not favourable on Ursa. Radiance
leave it to other hero, it costs too much and is pure dps with no stats provision.
Satanic,EoS,mjolinir are ORBs so are worthless.
Basher and MKB are also those statless pure DPS items, no use to you. Bloodstone:
many people do make this item on him, I find it useless... the cost is eqivalent
almost to a Reaver and a Vitality booster.... and you dont need such huge mana
pool from bloodstone.

Strategy:
Enrage Stats:
The above Chart is the damage dealt when you activate enrage, and the
corresponding damage is dealt according to your level and "current" HP pool.

From above chart you may see that the more tanking Ursa does, the more DPS hero
he Becomes. The combo of Overpower and Enrage is very Lethal, also the addition
of Fury Swipes taken in account.
For example:
Consider a lvl 14 URSA with 2200HP, (70-75) base damage. Overpower lets you 5
hits and consider 10 more hits.
So with Overpower+Enrage+Hits,
Total Damge done=(82.5(base)+110)*15= 2887.5 damage
Now consider a hero with with 16.5 armour, ie 50% damage reduction,
Total damage done:1443.75
Which is too IMBA... and not considering Damge done by FURY SWIPES and
EARTHSHOCK and ADDITIONAL DAMAGE due to items.

Gameplay Walkthrough:
During the start of the game, start of with a stout shield and some tangoes. The
main objective is to keep you alive and regenarating =P. Due to the melee nature
you will be harrased early game. So stout will hep you against those nasty creeps,

and protect you from much of their ninny attacks . Make sure that you have a
lane partner with you. Now you may see that you have very good starting stats,
good HP pool and a very good armour (5).

By level 6, you should have atleast a bracer complete. A bottle is NOT

recommended, you may buy another bracer and a RoB instead of bottle. Boots are
not necessary at this stage, as you have a good MS ie 310. here you may
succesfully take a kill, using Enrage Over power combo, any AGI or INT hero will fall.
its better you gank with an ally, necessarily with a stunner or slower or disabler.
By this level you are a full fledged killer, complete your Vlads or Vanguard by this
level. You also can take a series of neutrals by this time. Create some Havoc in the

forest and outside it too . Best to complete vanguard at this point, as it gives you
much needed HP pool and good regen. Also dont forget Boots, they are very
necessary at this stage.

Nearly you have to be transformed into a veritable beast . The armlet of

mortiggan fulfills it all. BUT heed that you should complete your Vlads before
Armlet, or you'll die due to life loss by armlet. Lifesteal is very essential at this
stage. Also you must have a Blink Dagger ready, your handy escape/gank tool.
Gives you the best position to place yourself next to your Victim. if you arent
considering Armlet, then go for HoT ASAP.
Farm insanely for your reaver, and complete HoT by this stage. You may skip Vlads
to complete your HoT first.
By this stage complete your HoT and Armlet. Armlet gives your ulti an insane
meaning. Complete your Vlads if you havent. Now after this stage you should have
a close look at your opponents and select the Items to counter them. ie for
example: If you have more late game Crits and bashers, then opt for Butterfly as
Evasion will help you greatly and so on.....
By this time you should have a packed Inventory, a nice tanking + DPS ing items.
Perfect blend to counter your opponents. A buriza or butterfly or an extra HoT are
the possible late game items. Check out the activated Armlet pic, the str gain is
insane and referring to the chart you will see the following:

Str gained : 25
HP poll increment: 475
Enrage damage bonus:
lvl6: 19
lvl11: 23.75
lvl16: 28.5

Total damage gained in 5 hits:

lvl 6: 95
lvl 11: 118.75
lvl16: 142.5

The above damage is dealt as a str increase by Armlet, and its pretty good, when it
comes to lvl 16, and that is only the str increment i have counted.... if you want
total damage dealt, consider the following:

Consider a lvl 16 ursa with total hp of 2771 (including HoT, bracer and an inactive
armlet)
Enrage activated, gives a damage of :

Armlet inactive: 78+14+(6% of 2771)= 258.26

for 5 hits damage dealt= 5*258.26 = 1291.3

Armlet Active: 78+45+(6% of 3246) = 317.76

for 5 hits damage dealt= 1588.8

The above example will give you how insane Ursa becomes, and that is why Armlet
is included in core.
**Note that I hae mentiones only 5 hits ie the combo of enrage and overpower. The
total damage if you figure out will be very high**

Fury Swipes:

Fury Swipes is arguably the best ORB effect in DOTA. The damage dealt increases
by a factor of the upgraded ability. Thus each consecutive attack doubles the factor
and hence goes on increasing. Thus this effect makes Ursa to harass and farm
Neutrals effectively. The following pics will explain how the damage factor increases
with each hit, and the Giant Wolf is killed in 4 hits.
Earthshock:

Its an AOE slow ability, an impressive skill which does decent damage. The slow is
good to catch fleeing opponents. It has a very Low cooldown, and also can be used
to kill (as i have used to pawn Visage). The max AOE is 250, ie equivalent to that of
hoof stomp. The slow factor increases as the ability is upgraded.
Allies and Enemies:
Allies:

Stunners:
Disablers:

All those Slowers and Stunners are your best friends. You are basically a chase hero,
so to ensure kills, you have to rely on those others who have a perfect disable, like
Fiend's Grip, Frostbite, Voodoo, Shackles, Storm bolt etc etc.
Silkwood, Sven and Centaur are your best friends, both have superb Support+Killing
abilities. Swap will deliver your prey near you so that you can earthshcok kick his
ass and if he tries to flee then Magic missile will do the extermination job. Storm
bolt is similar and the combo of Enrage and Gods Strength is insane. Best support
for Ursa and Toughness Aura is totally imba early.
Rylai, Treant, Furion and Rhasta are your best Disabler friends. Frost bite,
Overgrowth, Shackles will help you deliver your massive chunk of damage to the
helpless opponent, killing them eventually.
Potm, Lanaya are those stealth gankers, Elune's arrow and psionic trap from
unexpected directions will help Ursa greatly.

earthshaker is a good stunner, will help you, also steal kills , sometimes wrongly
placed fissure may be a problem, but he is a good support.
Pudge is your best friend, he will drag helpless opponents to feed it to you, saving
his dismember for Other kill:p, Rot and Earthshock will literally stop the opponent.
Visage, Viper, Veno, Mortred, Dirge are all slowers, help you to reach your target.
Slardar, Magnus, Sand King, Skeleton King are great stunners, best for making
opponents cry.

Pitlord, bane elemental, Lich, Lion are al disablers, good for you .

Enemies:

Tanks are Late game DPS heroes will pose a threat to you. The basic aim is to
Harass them so that you have a superiority over them. Nukers are problem early
game, but when you finish your Vanguard and reach above lvl 6, they are a piece of
cake.

Polished Steel:
Scrap Metal:
Screenshots:
QoP and Visage are on field, and so are me and tiny. Tiny has done the honours to
reduce visage's Hp pool.
As i see he is fleeing, I use Earthshock to slow both QoP and Visage. Using only
Overpower i manage to finish him off. Here the basic aim was to distract QoP, to
prevent her using SS, and to take on visage quicklt Before he used Gravechill.
Best use of The famous Overpower Enrage combo. Run up behind quickly, the best
option is to blink, earthshock and then to activate your combo. As you see Visage
Hp reduced to a mediocre level where i can kill him using my earthshock. I may
even get a Double Kill in this case, if i Hit QoP some shots.
best use of Invi Rune early game to sneak up and catch them unawares. Use
Earthshock+Enrage+Overpower.
Best use of Tiny is Free blink and a team kill. See ursa flying, and QoP getting
Smashed by the impact.
